Oh please someone tell me that the source is not credible and it's just a rumor. I want to hear all sensible arguments that would point to an early summer release date instead :( they can't just play so many new songs and let us linger for months! When violet hill came out, the album followed about a month after so why the long wait this time?

No I can't really blame you for wanting the old introvert vibe back and you would probably still be having it, were it not for the fact that Coldplay are hell bent on evolution when it comes to music, so each album sounds different than it's predecessors. I also think that maybe they have outgrown their early years depressive phase and are now in a much happier place and that is reflected in the music. I for one love Parachutes and the old slow songs but honestly I'm not often inthe mood to hear them : guess I also grew out of that phase or im not sad as often as I used to be :) Guess sometimes it's just luck, whether we can follow our fav bands evolution or not.

I personally think there were complex songs even before VLV. The melody of the new track just does not stand out to me at all. Maybe the studio version might, who knows. I just hope people judge this track and the other new tracks solely on the basis of the music and not based on whether they are slow or up-tempo or whether they are more or less like Parachutes.

Coldplay set for South Africa gigs Coldplay have agreed to play two stadium gigs in South Africa after 10 years of persistence from Attie Van Wyk. While making the announcement of the shows, Van Wyk said, "After 10 years of knocking on the door we are incredibly excited that they have finally confirmed two stadium shows." Coldplay, who are made up of Chris Martin, Will Champion, Guy Berryman and Jonny Buckland, held off for as long as they could before finally giving in. Van Wyk says that this just shows the calibre of the band, "It can only take artists of that calibre to negotiate for that long ... South Africa is very far from any of their other territories,” he said. The first concert is set to take place on October 5th and will be held at Cape Town Stadium. The second show will come from FNB Stadium, in Johannesburg on October 8th. I think everybody can and should post their opinions about the song. The problems arise when people think their opinion is not subjective but equates with absolute truth. So people just remember: there is no absolute objective truth about how good or bad ETIAW is. We all have different ears and brains and we all are justified in our opinions as long as we respect others. I recently digged ETIAW after hearing it live, which made me think about how production and arrangements are so important in a song. I guess I did not like the studio arrangement but I'm loving the song live incredibly much!

Thx for uploading the cleaner version. I really like this song! On par with other new tracks like Charlie brown and major minor. Really digging this new very upbeat funky new sound. I'm so happy they are not replicating any of the previous albums, so each LP is like an unique diamond to be appreciated in its own right

I was not much into the song before but hearing it live was literally something else! Finally it brought the song to life for me and I think it rocked! I guess the album version is too synthy and subdued, while when played live, it really shines for the great track it is!

Love this song! Johnny is epic in this track! But the album title isn't supposed to be something like MX? Or is that referring to something else?

I'm probably alone here in saying that I really do not think the song is anything special. The melody is ridiculously simple and it reminds me of a bad version of Kingdom. I infinitely prefer the other new tracks and if they released a whole cd filled with songs like UATW, I seriously would consider not including it in my collection. By the way I do like see you soon but I think it's melodically superior to this. I hope you guys genuinely like the song and not just like it because it's slow, acoustic and it reminds you of what u deem to be Coldplay good old days....
