I suspected it was the production that made the difference for you. I understand that. Hard to like songs if you dislike the production/music genre I agree. I kinda feel the same way when someone posts a "piano ballad version" of a Coldplay song, suddenly I don't like that song anymore even if it might be one of my faves! haha MX is one of my favorite Coldplay albums too and yes its definitely more traditional pop/rock (Major Minus!), though I do think that Jonny´s riffs are even better on AHFOD, but perhaps muffled by the production. In live versions of Everglow, Adventure or Up&Up they are allowed to truly shine. I hope you´ll still go to the gig though! I think you will like it as they will be playing songs from all eras and you will get to hear some of your faves for the first time live :D

I have done what I came to do in Cali, that much I know :) But in order to answer your question I´d say ask me again in a couple of months *lol* Then I´ll probably be able to say! Its a bit complicated situation, lets just say Im well on the way to advancing my goal hehe :)

Yes I recall and I disagreed with that analysis hehe But as we are humans we will always tend to see different things even if looking at the same thing! :) If its not about oppression then but about how different the cultures are, then conversely we should accuse everyone else in the world of appropriating "white western culture" when they completely take over our model of life, capitalism and all ? Surely if its not about oppression, then it must go the other way around? But it doesn't. So for example we are blamed for not featuring the right amount of other races in the Oscars, but Bollywood is "allowed" to be all indian. I don't know..Im not seeing any sense in this. I can understand the motivation originally behind these groups for speaking out against oppression of minorities and there was good reason for that! But that was the past. I suspect some people have not gotten over the so-called "white guilt" and so keep perpetuating this self-flagellation in a way...when in fact the true sign of equality and that you truly have recognised that everyone is equal is to stop talking about races and cultures but simply talk of people. I believe we have come a long way and I honestly don't see the need to divide people as they do. On top of that I have noticed that these movements are being taken advantage of to promote a policy of divisiveness which does always tend to benefit "some people on the top". So there´s also that contributing to putting this radicalism, which was always present but in the fringes, to the forefront of the media, education, etc.

I actually do the same with the first two albums as you do haha I have them both in their entirety on my iPhone cuz I like to be able to dig out the songs I want to listen to, but I rarely listen to them from beginning to end (X&Y is also going down that route a bit, cuz there are always a couple of songs I almost feel like skipping). I can see why you would want MX for energetic music as you call it. I agree! What is it with AHFOD that set it apart for you ,you think? It does have some amazing Jonny riffs, though I agree that you won't find the same amount of "rocky" tracks as you do on MX.

I don't have 14 minutes to watch that video haha But Im guessing they are associating the ancient Hinduism symbols with the Illuminati. Now here we have a case of true cultural appropriation haha These symbols are way more ancient than any modern group who may or may not be using them to advance their agenda. So one can certainly assert that a specific group always uses certain symbols, but then you cant draw the conclusion that these same certain symbols always lead back to that group hehe Seems to be a logical fallacy and also a bit of ignorance about how ancient these symbols actually are.

Wow sorry to hear that. Did previous albums "disappoint" you as much or is this the first album you delete so many songs from?

I wish this was a case of the stupid internet, but these ideologies are rampant nowadays in universities, the media, etc. Im starting to think its a new form of totalitarism disguised as "benefitting the minorities". Incidentally I did a long research on this just recently for work and it did not look good to me at all...I was surprised at what I found behind what appeared well-intentioned movements.

By that logic Germans should not wear or "appropriate" any culture in Europe cuz they "oppressed" Europe with war twice and in much more recent times than colonialism! If we used the same "stuck in the past" methodology these people seem to apply to Western Culture and colonialism, we would not "forgive" the germans for at least another 50 years! Thats absurd. All people alive today have nothing to do with what happened 100 or more years ago. We should celebrate when people find ways to be closer by appreciating each other culture, not condemn it. This unfortunately is a part of a larger problem with pc these days where its suddenly running amok and the people behind stirring these controversies might have good intentions but the result is just to pit us against one another, group after group and no good can come out of that.

Yeah, people will always find a way to circumvent things. I still think the best solution is to make it illegal, then people can stop the scalpers once and for all. Those poor families cheated out of their tickets and robbed blind should get together and write a petition, go to the media and whatnot, highlight the problem for all to see.

Yeah God knows what these people do to buy more than 4 tickets. I know Ticketmaster has a limit of 4 tickets per buyer, so how do they manage to snag so many? They probably have some complicated algorithm program or whatnot circumventing security :/

Well I would say the government has no conscience hehe We know that there are some people who would do all sorts of things against the common good and for personal benefit if left free to do so. Its the job of the people to protect , well...the people. They should make a law forbidding re-selling of events tickets for anything other than the value price. If people make enough noise about this, the gov will pay attention! :)

One of the good thing about the free market is that people will not buy if they think the price is too steep, so this guy imo is not likely to sell codes...especially considering you can get good tickets from re-sellers adding $100 or so.

Ah ok :) I remember when X&Y came out and if my memory doesn't fail me it had a lot of raving reviews (and a huge hype), but as we all know our memory tends to be selective so I checked it up on Meteoritic and it has the same average score as Viva and Parachutes. Mylo and Ghost are also in the "green" with over 60 points average (but lower than previous), while AHFOD is so far in the yellow area with 60 points. To note: Prospekt´s March received almost the same score as Mylo Xyloto. I don't know..looking at the critic points, Im not sure what criteria they go by :)

Ill go ahead and say I think XMTS is the saddest song on the album hehe Its just very somber and reflective....some people may not have noticed cuz they did not get past the "Boom boom" lyrical line and the song sort-of-rap style, but its actually thematically imo closer to Ghost Stories than AHFOD hehe

True. I guess we have to be happy for the tickets we managed to get, even though they are not in front of the stage. I think I may miss having the confetti shower :) But I did go see them in Wembley on the tiers (some of the best seats on the tier) and it was actually fun too but yeah I hear you...I would also have liked to have the chance to get a bit closer :)

Congrats to all who got tickets!! It does look like most of us who tried did actually get something which we are satisfied with? Its sad none of us will actually be in the first rows (because thats where we usually belong, not "swallowed in the back of the stadium sea" hehe), but at least it seems to be we all got good seats :) What do you guys think?

Yeah that sounds like the best bet for a good seat :) I also would prefer a more central position than being all on the side, even though its always hard to guess if you don't know the venue! (as some of us don't hehe)

I don't know of any way other than going the usual VPN way. Here they re going to show it locally at the cinema actually. Maybe it might be worth checking out if some sport bars or other places in your area who have access to CBS satellite or whatnot broadcast it too?
