welll i quite agree, they may have crossovered to pop but its still rock and if you listen tot he album more and more , it grows and you think its one of their best albums.! well, in the end of the day you stilll know that its coldplay and you still love them from start to finish, but the point is, didnt you guys notice X&Y is a bit more commercial and kinda leaning a bit to the pop sound?, then came vlv, so i think coldplay is trying to grab more fanbase than ever from rock fans to pop fans.... well this album roughly already sold 8Million Worldwide and is stilll the top album of 2008 and thats hard to achieve for the crisis the world faces right now. and its stilll selling quite well,. So the point is coldplay wants to reach to more Fan base and probably end up with a more cohesive fan base in the future. and didnt we get a hint that the next or upcoming album is gonna be a bit jazzy? Jazz fans anyone?
