  1. I don't know about the exact chords but this guy does a great job playing the song and he clarifies the tuning at the beginning. Make sure you watch his thumb when he is playing too. 2. Sure I can help you out. I don't know exactly what Chris plays in the acoustic version, but I can give the chords I use. I hope this helps. So the outro/jam part of the song is... Eb: G, Bb, Eb (you can choose whatever octave you like, but I play these chords starting at the G below middle C. Chris plays it an octave higher than what I play in the acoustic version). For bass notes I just do Eb (octave) Ab: Ab, (middle) C, Eb. Bass notes : Ab, Eb Eb: Same as above Bb?/Bb: I don't know what the first part of this chord is, but it is a Bb something. you play: F, Bb, Eb then you switch the Eb note to a D, making it a regular Bb (F, Bb, D) chord. You can hear this change in any of the versions of the song. For the bass notes for these two chords I just play Bb(octave) for both. Then you play the same thing again, except with a minor change to the first chord. I believe it's a Cm7 instead of an Eb. Cm7: You play the same Eb chord as above (G, Bb, Eb) but instead of playing an Eb bass note, you play a G bass note. It's the same after this... Ab Eb Bb?/Bb Repeat until the song is over. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
  3. Right hand chords are :Eb, Fm, Eb/G ,Ab, Eb/G, Fm, Eb, Bb, Eb. I don't know the actual name of the Eb/G chord, I just labeled it as such because you play an Eb chord with the right hand but a G for the bass note. Left hand notes: Eb, F, G, Ab, G,F, Eb, Bb, Eb Here is how the right-hand chords should be fingered as they are played in succession: These are the ascending chords.. Eb: Bb (just below middle c), Eb, G Fm: C (middle c), F, Ab Eb/G: Eb, G, Bb Ab: Eb, Ab, C This is where you descend: Eb/G: Eb, G, Bb Fm: C (middle c), F, Ab Eb: Bb (just below middle c), Eb, G Bb: F (below middle C) Bb, D Eb: Bb (just below middle c), Eb, G Sorry if this is confusing, but it is hard to type it out. Just follow the chords/fingerings and play it with the tempo of the song and you should be able to hear it.
  4. It seems like that capo 7 would be more logical than the tabs I posted previously. I would love to see the tabs when you complete it. Keep us updated :D
  5. Yeah, you're right, it is the G-string for the album version and yes, he plays it on the G in the 60 minutes (I can't remember if it was for 60 minutes or not) video too. However, they change the key for the acoustic version. And because the title of this thread says (Acoustic version), I boldly assumed that the OP wanted tabs for the acoustic version  Listen to the Acoustic release of the song. Overall it is the closest tab I have come across for the acoustic version. It's not perfect, but it is definitely not dead wrong, as you claim it is.
  6. Kiss the Rain by Yiruma on piano
  7. Blackbird - The Beatles Don't know it has taken me this long to learn it.
  8. As far as I can tell this tab is dead on. http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/c/coldplay/lovers_in_japan_acoustic_crd.htm It includes the intro, main riff and the chords.
  9. So I just listened to this again and realized that I made a mistake. While the bridge part is played through twice, the second time through Chris does not play an Ab. It ends like with him holding the Db and ending on an Eb like this... Db Eb I'll be the vision of your happiness he holds the Db and plays the Eb on the word "happiness." EDIT: Sorry for the confusion but for some reason my computer is not letting my place the "Eb" over the word "happiness" listed above. Again just hold the Db in the final line of the Bridge until the word "Happiness," and then you play an Eb.
  10. To my knowledge (or my ears, that is) Chris plays with these chords: VERSE/CHORUS Ab, Fm, Db, Eb Again, as far as I can tell the bassline notes are Ab, (G), F, (Eb), Db, (Db), Eb. I put the above notes in parenthesis because Chris plays these notes but they are quick and right before switching chords (If you're confused about this and the timing of it, listen to what Chris has the men hum at the end of the song. That is how the bass riff is played). BRIDGE The bridge is Db to Eb x2 then.. Db, Eb, Ab (the Ab is played on the word "Loveliness" and "Happiness") The bass notes in this section just corresponds to the chords being played. The bridge part is played through twice. And that's basically the song. Again, this is as I hear it but it is a pretty basic song so I believe I am accurate. If I am not, I hope someone can correct my errors! Hope this helps.
  11. The chords are the same as the original recording for that version. If you would like guitar tabs this is what Johnny is playing except it doesn't sound like he is playing the b-string at all during the verse. I play it with the b because it sounds fuller. These tabs also have the chord names. http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/c/coldplay/lovers_in_japan_reign_of_love_tab.htm
  12. Guitar, piano, harmonica, and ukulele. I'm thinking of trying to start playing some mandolin as well.
  13. Could anyone possibly re-up the video of this concert. I've been dying to see the whole thing. Thank you in advance!
  14. RIP Roi. You were loved by many and will be missed by more. Althought I did not know him, Leroi was such an intrical part of my life because DMB made me want to become a musician, which I now am. My heart hurts with sorrow and my mind is numb from shock. A sad day in the DMB community. "Now he belongs to the ages"
  15. Hello there. I see that you are a mod so I figure I might pose this question towards you; Is there anywhere to trade or download shows on this forum or not? I don't know if that is prohibited or not, but I figured i might as well ask someone who would know. Thanks for the input :D EDIT:I found it. I don't know how I missed it earlier!! Thanks anyways.
  16. Wow this sounds great, I am excited to see these.
  17. Hi all, I am new to this forum and just wanted to drop in and say hello to everyone. Hope everyone is having a great day!
