Hmm...Not that I suffer from being like some celebrity,but being someone who writes songs and being in a band, and being someone who cares to be liked by people, for some stupid reason, I guess I can understand him and relate to him somehow...

-Jonny's incredible effort (he really gave his best,even on the songs I don't like. kudos, Jon) -Moving To Mars (best MX song so far, I don't care if it is not on the album) -Charlie Brown (made me cry, I swear) -Us Against The World (ditto, I am such a bitch) -Major Minus (dark, me like) -Hurts Like Heaven (not as much as the above ones but it's exciting and rich)

parrotdies, I completely agree with what you say about Chris not being able to cope with the growing fame. He just doesn't seem to me like the kind of guy who is all into glamour and stuff. Maybe he is trying to recreate himself, and the band,who knows. PLUS , what we have to understand is that maybe he is not the same person anymore. We all change, and he just might not relate to what he used to. But I don't realize that he relates to sth so shallow as ETIAW and Paradise.... I just gotta say I disagree on the concerts, I think they should keep doing it becuase it adds to their magic and charm. Not fond of the uniforms and stuff now though - it had a point during VLV era but not now. And I gotta say - Radiohead is the band with the biggest balls ever. And I don't even like some of the albums (though some I absolutely love, In Rainbows is a masterpiece) , but they are absolutely showing no compromise and deserve my full respect for that.

exactly what I just thought when reading it again. but honestly, it seems to me that ppl who like the song overreact more about those who don't. and call us non-fans and stuff. like a non-fan would miss 2 exams to go a foreign country alone and spend whole lot of money which he doesn't have just to see one of his favorite bands, design and write postcards to send, etc. whatever.

This post is brilliant. I have spent the whole day trying to prove that all we want is good music, a level up, or at least the same level as VLV. Some may dislike VLV era but one cannot deny the EFFORT. Paradise and ETIAW sound lazy to me and lack the effort. So to conclude, I believe that VLV is a huge step up, whereas Paradise and ETIAW as songs are a step down. MTM, Charlie Brown and UATW for instance, live up to Coldplay's standards, or maybe even surpass them. this.

look,I don't care about the concept album, the upcoming video, clothes that will fit the song, or whether it will sound pop or jazz or metal - I don't like the song and that is it. I find it lazy,repetitive and weak compared to what the band can do. I don't like the music. p.s. I am sure many more people here think the same and I don't see why you guys have to attack us all the time, I am sick of justifying myself over one damn song, and I don't think I am the only one.

I agree with 95% of what you said. I think that the band have lost their touch a bit when it comes to some new songs,and I just don't believe that this is the music they make for themselves. I guess that Paradise was written after ETIAW was released, honestly. Because they wanted a #1 hit with ETIAW and since that kinda failed, they tried to make another one,more commercial song. This is of course my opinion and please don't hate on me or anybody else because of it. Welcome aboard man.

Yes it does, Charlie Brown, Moving to Mars, Major Minus, Us Against The World - all of these songs I have praised and praised over the forum. Sorry you only see the negative side.
