January 28, 2010 - submitted by Lara, Germany Q. Oracle, please help. I'm in tears. My parents have always been a happy couple, and they've never had a fight. Right now I'm listening to them scream and throw things. I'm scared because its really serious. I don't want anything to change. Please tell me something to make me feel better. The Oracle replies: I hope I replied soon enough as this came through recently but it's a tough one. You are very lucky not to have experienced this before but... parents argue and sometimes it elevates to screaming and throwing things but if as you say this is the first time, there's a chance it'll all be ok. If this becomes more frequent then you are entitled to sit them down and explain how you feel but remember, this is their relationship and they may not want to discuss it with you. Change is scary but sometimes it's for the best. Try not to worry and have faith that your parents will do right by you and themselves. However to make you feel better I can only suggest you DO something to make yourself feel better. Maybe put on some of your favourite music loud enough for your parents to perhaps see you are drowning them out or with headphones so you can't hear them?

:awesome: I don't have something like this. Does it play them without commercial breaks? I can only speak from my experience from watching award shows etc but one thing that stood out was that there are commercial breaks almost every 5 minutes on US TV!!!

Free movies on Tuesdays sounds awesome!!! Sherlock was alright, a fun movie but no real highlight. It was a preview tonight, official start is tomorrow. I still haven't seen Avatar!!!!! What I'm looking forward to next is "Men who stare at goats" and "Up in the Air". I know, we're always late with film starts in Germany :bigcry:

Oh that's good news! Fingers crossed they say yes! :nice: No new funny work stories... :) There was this festival and that always means a stressful time with annoying costumers :disappointed: But it's over now :dance: Just a few hours ago I watched Sherlock Holmes and tomorrow I'll continue my cinema-day and watch "The Last Station" and "New York, I love you". Looking forward to both, but I really can't wait to finally see James on the big screen again :heart:

Could it be that your RAM or PSU aren't working properly anymore? This may sound stupid but do you have dust inside your PC, especially in front of the fan of the PSU? I think winnie is the expert here but I had those problems before. I had replaced every single part of my computer piece after piece until I bought the laptop. :) Sorry if I can't help you, hopefully you'll find out what the problem is. Fingers crossed!

Oh no worries!! Hang in there, in less than 48 hours it's over! So... how do you do it? Would I be able to do that enhancing myself or would I need some uber-program and a long time learning to use it?

:lol: Do you have programs like torrents running at the same time? Or anything else? Is your hard drive close to be full? Like only 10GB or less free? You could try a defragmentation (if you don't have it set up to be made once a week automatically) or delete your temp internet files and other stuff using Disk Cleanup. Do you have loads of programs installed? Or did you save many files on your desktop?

That's a great one. Have a look at the effects :awesome: I use it mainly for enhancing and adding fade-in & -out. Also awesome for editing long files to split them into multiple tracks. When you extract, before you save the file, you can select the quality (options, below ok and abort)
