I have, much better than Inshalla, it flows and has great tunes on it. Echo and Itch are among my favorites! It brings back lots of elements from Black Fingernails....definitely worth getting
  2. really really liked opening this thread and seeing this! :) well done!
  3. No Line was a good album was one piece of music - people who say it's crap don't know what they're talking about imo... and to the CP vs. U2 debate, how many years does U2 have on Coldplay? when Coldplay (if they catch up) then it's fair to compare
  4. can we expect Coldplay to party in the USA soon?:smug:

I really enjoyed this track! Signs of what's to come :)
  6. I loved reading the rumors, as many as there were, but Spike gets the cake, well done - could not be more excited!
  7. October cannot come sooner! Major Minus is going to work on the album, it's going to be good hands down!
  8. hooray! I have stayed away from all the speculation threads that everyone's been making - but this seems like some good news!
  9. anyone down in Aussie land have a download link to the Eskimo Joe album?
  10. bumping this. Eskimo Joe's 5th record, Ghost From The Past comes out August 12th, and they have an 'unlocker' on their website with the songs; http://www.ghostsofthepast.com.au/ I have listened to about half of it, and I definitely find it better than Inshalla - much more easy to listen to, like BFRW (which is one of my favorite albums)....needless to say I am excited!
  11. Good CD all the way though, I thought it'd kind of flop off at the end, but I really liked it!

I will wait patiently for the Canadian shows. I was fortunate the see Feist with Broken Social Scene and she played 'I Feel It All' as a treat, which was AWESOME - but a solo show would be awesome, I LOVE 'Sealion'
  13. it is tough to compare them. last summer I saw Metric for free, lost my mind, and this summer I saw Stars live and absolutely lost my mind. I heard set yourself on fire when I was 13, and the themes of that album with the music and the way Torq and Amy sing just sucked me in - so I feel there's a much bigger connection with the music and theme of Stars music, but Metric are just great at rocking out, and have an amazing presence on stage. If I had to choose, it'd depend on my mood, I honestly can't pick between them
  14. oh yeah! that must be pretty sweet. I always look for deals, or I've been getting CDs off Amazon with free shipping....I think vinyl is just better to collect - tough decision!
  15. I really enjoy Collect Call as well, it's slow....and sexy as well, love the chorus of it!
  16. That's so many! I really want to buy them all but I have lack of funds, :( However I might treat myself at some point, I really don't have any vinyl apart from my parents records (they've got everything Beatles, pretty cool - along with a vast amount of others), but I want to collect my own, but that'd mean parting with CDs because that's a large investment...ahhh
  17. All Yours Is too cheesy. Live It Out Is great, I love Patriarch on a Vespa and Poster Of A Girl!
  18. but you've enjoyed it all haven't you? so I'd say your purchase is justified! :)

I love Feist, this is a long time coming! should be good! :)
  20. not bad. like the fact MTM was on it, but I was hoping for more songs live. now with all these rumors and speculation about album dates and what not more information should slowly be coming out *I hope*

  22. ^ it was pretty good too. I've been in and out, shame HQ isn't tweeting the setlist! :S
  23. funny story, because I did the exact same. my Dad for some reason didn't want to come (supposed to be a family event) - my mom goes, she LOVES U2, so i invite a friend who actually likes them, because for some reason i have no friends who like U2 :S weird i know, but he loved every second of the show.
  24. they played the same setlist in Toronto. I was pretty disappointed they didn't play PDA... I agree with you Briggins, as good as they are, crowd doesn't really know who they are too well, even though I was wearing my Interpol shit and singing every song! :) Sound was somewhat off too, their new bass player still needs to get into it, kinda miss Carlos in regards to that
