I understand your situation, but you will see that after you finish school and as time passes making long lasting friendships becomes harder and harder. Alienation is a major part of this occurrence too, it takes time to get adapted and accept new kinds of people with different personalities and values.

You will buy it when you finally get divorced and start paying for child support. Although you might believe that friends do exist, you can make a self-analysis of your friendships and reach your own conclusions of whether they're real friends or not. Do they care about you as a whole person? Do they call you and keep in touch with you in your good and bad times? Do you trust them enough to tell them all of your problems and secrets? Would they give their lives to save yours? Those are real friends, which are pretty nonexistent as far as friendships go. "Fake Friends" are only present in your life for pure interest, they will only call you whenever they need something, and don't care for you as much as you might think. Next time you say friends exist, ask yourself whether they're real friends or not.
