Yay, Metric! :) Holy cow, that EP vote is gonna be difficult. U2 and Green Day were a bit disappointing but they received enough backlash to the point where I'm not sure I'd see them as being overrated.

I'm starting to get a little worn out on "Decades" list by this point. Congrats to Coldplay yet again, but Lady Gaga? Really?

It's not a bad idea, though I'm concerned that it would make things in the auction a bit unfair, even to people who are made of money. If you want to go through with this idea, one suggestion would be to have people's "odds" increase with how much they donate. Then again, in order to put everyone at the same odds rate, it's probably better that everyone pays a "flat" contribution. So scratch that first idea. :P

Oh yay, the fact that there are numerous AROBTTH posters means that the demand for them may decrease a bit. That should ease things, as out of everything I've seen so far that seems like it wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg, that appeals to me the most (favorite album and all). Granted, there are probably still lots of items we haven't seen yet. And LOL @ Puppet suggestion.

The instruments are obviously going to be the most difficult items to obtain. However, I'd be more than happy with any lesser piece of memorabilia. Even a poster. :) Let's wait for the list of items to surface.

ATTN PARENTS: You can officially stop complaining that I have nothing on my Christmas list. :D:D:D I am, however, deeply worried at how the bid prices of these items will skyrocket.

A somewhat predictable list, but still beats the hell out of NME's lists, and it's nice to see what other prestigious artists think. I wish they put more ballots up.

First time listening to Coldplay in like a week...new record for me. Anyways, I'm going with White Shadows

I heard 42 playing from my roommates' TV. I didn't know what show it was, but I told him I came in because "I heard Coldplay". He probably now thinks I'm weirder than ever. :lol:

Not sure I can see a studio song with just Will singing, but I can see a song like "The Goldrush" where he sings a part of it. I think that would be a pleasant surprise. :)

I think Linkin Park is okay. I don't love them, but I like some of their stuff (but not their rapping). "New Divide" would be a good song if it weren't such a rip-off of "What I've Done". Haven't checked out Dead By Sunrise, though.

Sounds like an amazing set! I just looked up the Elbow cover on YouTube, and it sounds stellar! Gotta be one of the best live covers I've watched (sorry, Coldplay). Great review as always! It also ticks me off when a crowd is chatty during a concert.

I just received my lovely greeting card from nancyk58! It actually probably arrived a few days ago, but my folks were out of town so I had no access to the mail. :( But I still got it, and what can I say - it's lovely! I'll post pics once I have access to a decent camera (hopefully later tonight), she sent me got some awesome butterfly stickers (even as a guy, I confess they are awesome) among some special charity stickers.
