  1. Just updated my Facebook status to say that I will marry the person who buys me the Parachutes globe, regardless of gender.
  2. The Beehive, perhaps? Then a Coldplayer should win the piano so we can learn where the Beehive is. :laugh3:
  3. *has first glance at auctions* *faints* So there were But It Now items earlier? And for real cheap? GAH. :bomb: Seriously, I miss the good ol' days of sniping auctions.
  4. Chris Who is the best cook?
  5. "Sam's Town (Abbey Road Version)" is one of the few salvagable things off Sawdust. Oh yeah. I went there.. :sneaky:
  6. Chris obviously. :P Who gets the angriest when drunk?
  7. Alright, new question: Who is the most fashionable?

I just had an awesome conversation with my roommate. He learned that I saw Metric and told me he saw them a few years back at Coachella. We talked about their music for a bit, and he ended by saying, "It helps that their lead singer is really fucking hot." :laugh3: BTW, I finally checked out Emily Haines & the Soft Skeleton. Great stuff, though certainly different.
  9. Will. That death stare gives me nightmares. Who is the biggest party animal?
  10. While I never bought into the "Sam's Town" hate, I can understand some of the disappointment. It has some great tracks on it, but it's probably their weakest album. (Also, no way in hell is BH&R underrated, and I say that as a huge Muse fan)
  11. If memory serves, this guy's been an ass before. Nothing new to see here. It's even more pathetic that he bashes the UK as a whole for their music, saying they "need him".
  12. Awesome, awesome, AWESOME! You'll have so much fun, Christa!
  13. Good luck Jen! And also to everyone else trying to get tickets! :D The lack of So. Cal. dates means they're likely playing Coachella instead, which I wouldn't go to, so here's hoping to a return to the area some time later in the year! Last night was too much of a teaser! :bomb:
  14. Yeah, first time and hopefully not the last! Phoenix was also incredible, but all my pics of them turned out pretty bad. (Thomas Mars did a run through the pit! Wish I could have been in it!)
  15. Apologies for the double post, but perhaps some enticing pics should help you forgive me. These are only about half the pics I took, but the rest came out really blurry. Also took some video of USoE and SMBH, which I may upload later.

Saw them last night as part of KROQ ACX! Short but great show! Unfortunately, since they played early in the set, that meant most folks were still arriving and chatting, so they didn't get a fair crowd response. Ah well, I still jumped and cheered for them. Pics from last night: Setlist: - Dead Disco - Gold Guns Girls - Gimme Sympathy - Help I'm Alive - Stadium Love
  17. Muse just rocked my ****ing face off at KROQ ACX. I'll post pics later (none of which are that great, BTW). Simply put, these guys brought the house down. After sitting through the previous eight bands (some like Phoenix were fantastic, others like Slightly Stoopid weren't) for four straight hours, Muse took the stage, and that's when things lost control. From the moment "Uprising" began, everyone was on their feet and wailing. My friend and I were jumping up and down, undoubtedly annoying the mellow people behind us. It wasn't a full performance, but it was still a serious contender for one of the best live acts I've seen. They don't exaggerate about Muse live. Best songs of the night were "Unnatural Selection" and "Knights of Cydonia", the latter of which had the full crowd jumping. I even developed a new appreciation for "United States of Eurasia", which I was never fond of but translates brilliantly live, with everybody pointing to the sky and screaming "SIA! SIA! SIA! SIA!" I'd say the one song that didn't go over so well was "Guiding Light", but such was a minor blip in a great performance. Setlist (to the best of my memory): - Uprising - Resitsance - Supermassive Black Hole - Hysteria - Guiding Light - United States of Eurasia - Starlight - Time is Running Out - Unnatural Selection - Plug In Baby - Knights of Cydonia Again, I'll post sexy (but grainy) pictures of Matt in hot pink pants later. EDIT: I just learned that Guiding Light replaced New Born in the setlist from the previous night. The hell?
  18. Just a little observation - Viva la Vida cruised to #1 last year. What a difference a year of wear-and-tear makes.
  19. I approve of this topic, especially as a major Clocks fan. Yellow is probably the most influential - and perhaps most important - but "BEST" is a lot more subjective. Though if you are talking about legacy, then Ian is right about Yellow.
  20. That's a real shame about the tickets, girls. Best of luck on eBay with those darn scalpers, and best of luck to you Jen on Saturday. ;) According to KROQ's program, Muse takes the stage at 10:00 PM Pacific. I, meanwhile, shall be there. I'll post a review tomorrow and maybe pics! :)
