^ Ooh, that really sucks! :( Hope you both find it AND get your computer repaired (if possible). Have a little rant about my mom. She wanted me to implement correct album names in her iTunes library, when I stumbled upon all the Coldplay stuff I gave her that she deleted! I asked her, and she said she got rid of all the stuff she didn't like! Understandable at first, until you see what she took off: - Everything's Not Lost - We Never Change - Every AROBTTH song except Clocks, Politik, Daylight, and God Put a Smile - Swallowed in the Sea - Cemeteries of London - Death and All His Friends I can understand a couple, but not liking stuff like Everything's Not Lost, The Scientist, Amsterdam, etc. makes me not believe I'm related to her. :stunned::confused::laugh3:

Yeah, that's a good example of my problem with FG's humor. The slapstick randomness combined with the incredibly forceful satire (which tends to be very one-sided) and a few really unlikeable characters makes me prefer even Seth MacFarlane's other show, American Dad. I will agree that FG had a few sparks in its pre-revival era, however. But like all jokes that hit a personal chord in a cartoon (South Park is full of them; just look at what they did to Bono), I've learned to simply laugh them off. :laugh3::lol::laugh3:

I can tolerate the joke, though I've always preferred other prime time cartoons over Family Guy. Constant random cutaway jokes like that strike me as pretty cheap. But like I said, I'm lighthearted and I can tolerate a freaking joke.

A couple years ago, some friend of mine dragged me to a hillside parking lot so that he could smoke his cigarette, and since I'm not a smoker, he felt bad and let me choose the music. He asked me what type I like, and I told him that I prefer mellow, laid-back, but uplifting music with maybe a bit of piano thrown in. So he turned on Speed of Sound and caught me hook, line, and sinker. :lol:

Well, it doesn't say "split up", but it does mention sliding "off the radar for a few years" to work on "side projects". Sounds like they need a break from releasing a new album every two years. It's a little nerving as a fan, but I'm intirigued by whatever side projects occur.

There's a right way and a lot of wrong ways to pull off a Greatest Hits CD. You don't want to just slap 15 hits onto a CD and sell it as if you're taking your fans for chumps. I think we had this discussion in the general Coldplay forum, where a few of us suggested that they take the U2 route by making it a 2-disc purchase. Disc A would have their hottest singles, while Disc B would contain B-sides, mixes, and a few unreleased tracks (like Famous Old Painters).
