As I replied in the other thread, that was published back in August. They weren't even planning on the 2009 legs of the tour back then. Honestly, I don't expect anything earlier than late 2010, maybe early 2011. There were three years in-between AROBTTH & X&Y and between X&Y & VLVODAAHF, and even though the band has a lot of energy and inspiration still, they need both downtime and time to refine material. And they've still got plenty left in their current tour.

It was streamed via (RED)Wire back in December as a charitable effort, and was met with some very mixed reaction here. I personally am not a huge fan of it; though pegged as a Coldplay song, it seems more like a Kylie song than a Coldplay one.

^ Granted, Chris mentioned that back in August (which is the article's date), and since then, there's been mentions of the band taking a nice break after the longer-than-expected tour. Simply put, it's not gonna happen this year.

I know I'm basically repeating whateveryone else said by this point, but this douche brought the whole ordeal on himself. Any person who just wants a day away with the family would have done the exact same thing as Chris. Not to mention it seems this guy's other comments about the band make it seem like he's pulling overexaggerated fluff out of his ass. :dozey:

Checked out the Doves album upon a leak and now have a physical copy. Favorite album so far this year. Been giving the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' stuff a listen this week and I'm liking what I hear. :)

Damn, my grocery stores just play elevator music. :( I did hear LIJ in a sushi bar, which is kinda funny if you think about it, even if it was just on a radio station.

Guilty. Though I actually bought the Deluxe Edition first, then PM alone later just to have as a collector's item. :P Coldplay spoils us rotten. :D I won't be surprised if there's a huge gap without anything exciting after the tour ends, though. So thanks chaps, for being my single greatest wallet drainer in the past year by a long shot! It's all worth it! :D

Sorry y'all, I've been slacking on my fanfic-reading, so I had to back up like 15 pages and started with the beginning of "See You Soon" and read the first 6 chapters. Emotional in a very cute way! I'll certainly read the next chapters later! ;) "Speed of Sound" was just as amusing as the kitty story! I love how the band members seem like lazy 7th graders on a couch. :laugh3: And Guy! :stunned: Smiled throughout the Disney story, especially since seeing the band portrayed as dorks amuses me, although I honestly got a tad lost in the giant paragraphs. I'll read the last 5 pages soon, I promise! :)

Speaking of which, KROQ has a poll on their website to "decide the next single", which gives the options of This is Your Life, A Dustland Fairytale, or Joy Ride. Don't know how if this poll truly determines anything, but you get entered in a sweepstakes to see them at Coachella.

This was made more evident by the fact that Joe's lawyers threatened to hand Coldplay the case at the actual show. I really hope this stuff is being brought up in court, as it really highlights Satriani using this as a publicity stunt.
