  1. I actually think X&Y is more mainstream than VLVODAAHF. Songs like 42, Yes, and Strawberry Swing are totally genius but wouldn't ever cut it as mainstream singles.

So apparently they really are remaking Gold & Silver Versions for DS. It's probably less of a scam than the 3rd editions like Yellow/Silver/Emerald/Platinum, but I'm probably still gonna give it a pass unless they add an unfathomable amount of new material. Johto was good but not great.

  5. The Cherrytree Sessions EP was released today, both digital and as a Borders-exclusive CD. It's also US-exclusive, but I'm sure someone will upload eventually for those elsewhere. Basically, it just contains 3 live acoustic songs: Perfect Symmetry Somewhere Only We Know The Lovers are Losing

  7. I always imagined Will as the wise one of the group personality-wise. This proves true. :)

Neither are entertaining or clever at the moment. But The Simpsons wins because at one point - a decade ago - it actually was entertaining and clever. And because once in a blue moon, it will still pump out an episode that makes me smile. I could go on a long cliched rant about Family Guy, but I won't. Basically random, non-subtle, slapstick humor never did any favors for me.
  13. I agree; A Hundred Million Suns wasn't a bad album, but it was hardly new territory. They need something ambitious to prove that they truly aren't simply "That Chasing Cars Band".

  18. I swear, everytime somebody tells me, "See you soon!", I suddenly start humming "In a bullet proof vest..." and so on. 74 days!

This is why it's such a great idea for bands' websites to post official discography lyrics, because oftentimes, these fan-submitted lyric sites like LyricsMode and MetroLyrics are totally wrong, even after several revisions. You don't know how many different lyrics to Violet Hill I've seen on those things, for instance.

My suggestions (which aren't the best): Corey "Failure" Taylor "Fat Cat" Stevens "Blasphemous" Church of Chris Martin

And those lyrics you checked may have been wrong. It's actually: "So we rode down to the river where Victorian ghosts pray"

  25. Since we're talking about the long endings, I really like the title track's peaceful and steady ending instrumental. The song is far from my favorite, but it's worth listening to just for the final 45 seconds. "Low", on the other hand, doesn't end soon enough. Though I've seen some "Fix You" backlash on this forum, there's no denying it's a huge anthem that's gonna be kept in live shows for quite some time.
