  1. Twenty minutes ago in the car, my ex told me that eventually I'm going to become mentally ill from listening to so much Coldplay. THANK GOD that I ended things with her. :D
  2. Personally, I imagined Chris running into the room and screaming, "Jonny, catch!" as he randomly tossed the kitty across the room. :D Here's Chapter 4 of Coldfellas, in which we learn the REAL truth about Viva La Vida! :laugh3: COLDFELLAS CHAPTER 4: MURDER Rating: PG-13
  3. For the record, Chris's note is my favorite gag in the entire story, so I'm glad that's getting the biggest reaction. The scrapbook bit is up to your imagination, of course (it is implied he has scandalous photos). Chapter 4 will be posted within the next day. :D
  4. For the past several weeks, I've played Swallowed in the Sea more than any other song. It's a song that took me forever to first become attached to, but suddenly I love it more than I ever have! :stunned:
  5. Is that a rhetorical question?
  6. NLOTH has been out for a day and U2 already has set-in-stone plans for the next album? Are they really that insecure about how this latest experiemental outing goes over after their five-year gap between albums? Official word or not, I can't help but feel skepticism, and titles and dates will no doubt change constantly.
  7. "Bittersweet, I could taste in my mouth" :wink3: ... :sweatdrop:
  8. Time to update! Brothers and Sisters: $5 Parachutes - $15 A Rush of Blood to the Head - $15 X&Y - $10 Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends - $10 Viva La Vida: Prospekt's March Edition: $15 Copies of VLV for friends: $30 Talk single: $10 2 Concerts + Processing Fees: $300 Tour Shirt: $35 Keychains: $15 Poster: $15 $475. Almost to 500! I'm currently on the hunt for singles, so I'll be there in no time.
  9. More secrets unfold! Chris and Will got spotlight last time, so Jonny and Guy get more focus here. More cast is introduced here as the plot starts building, although it may be the final chapter to get away with a PG rating. The brutality and swearing increases from this point. COLDFELLAS CHAPTER 3: A WHISPER Rating: PG
  10. Corkus replied to leeds113's topic in WoM Games
    Hunting Bears - Radiohead
  11. Ohhhhhh man, I remember when David Hasselhoff was considered cool. Good times.
  12. I only like Chris/Jonny stuff when in short spurts. Likewise, this was perfect. :laugh3: I admit that I hadn't read earlier chapters of Sick Days of Coldplay, but I'm gonna get around to it, I promise! ;)
  13. So I know it's four-and-a-half months out, but I was at Party City today with a friend while she looked for streamers, when I saw the most badass glow sticks ever and totally bought several. They're a foot long, rainbow, and relatively thick (but not heavy). For the moment I'm saving money, but I'll probably head back some other time for glow rings and whatnot. If we all get on it, we'll have several months to practice specific movements and raves for each song. We'll be more coordinated than the band! Don't sweat over the yellow balls, guys. It honestly was a half-joke suggestion on my part, and some have said they're still present at outdoor venues. But I'm totally serious about synchronized glowstick waving.
  14. Repeating parrot! REPEATING PARROT! :D Guy having the mindset of a 9-year-old girl is unintentionally hysterical. This kitty better not go tearing up postcards overnight in the bakery. :sneaky:
  15. Nothing more to be said, hmm? :laugh3: Random Doofus on Street: "Yeah dude, I love Cold Play! They do that one song...what's it called...oh yeah! 'When I Ruled the World'! Such a breakthrough hit!" It's just as addictive as turning your friend on to cocaine, except totally legal! :D
  16. Good to know that no matter how bands change, Pitchfork never changes.
  17. The beginning of the Kitty story with Guy reminded me of that old "Who's on first?" gag. :laugh3:
  18. Laugh of my day.
  19. And even then, said charity would have to become as big as War Child. So hate to say it, but the odds of getting anybody in the music big leagues is essentially zilch. Small local bands? Speakers? Politicians? Sure, that's easy. Multi-platinum worldwide music phenomenons? Give up.
  20. Crud, beaten. :laugh3: At least you saved me from sounding like my mind was in the gutter. So instead, I suggest Lovers in Japan/Reign of Love. LIJ is the extravagant and dance-appropriate undressing, while ROL is the more calming and seductive...umm...I'll stop for the sake of the kiddies...:D
  21. Holy cow, Jonny needs to be a downloadable Guitar Hero avatar! :D Sadly, songs aren't cross-title downloads like Rock Band (and I think they should change that, as while I prefer Guitar Hero, I really envy that feature). My copy of Guitar Hero 3 has some weird error where I can't play any of the downloaded Coldplay songs when not connected online, but I can play the downloaded Muse songs just fine. Since I can connect to Live since my college is stupid like that, I'm stuck with just Shiver on World Tour. Which is fine on guitar, but forget the mic, as I truly think it's the hardest Coldplay song to sing period.
  22. @ coldplay_is_louve - Cute! Laughed at this part: :P @ butterfliesinjapan - Thank you! Depending on if anybody else posts something soon, I may or may not greenlight Chapter 3 sometime tonight. :)
  23. To those asking, I've heard from some folks that "Winter" was actually just a tentative name for "White as Snow", while others say it was simply cut along with a couple other tracks. If that's the case, we'd have no way of obtaining it at the moment. Tour dates = Awesome. I'm pretty broke from buying multiple tickets for Coldplay's summer tour, so hopefully I can weasel said friends into possibly mooching off them for U2. Hee hee...snuck that one in cleverly, eh? :laugh3:
  24. I would, except for the fact that I wore my tour shirt to class two times last week, and people would think I never wash my clothes! :( Yeah, I need some more CP clothes ASAP!
  25. JD: "Sorry, I was singing and I fell. I know that I've used that excuse before, but it happened again!" Before Scrubs' latest (and final) season started, Zach Braff was interviewed about the impact of music in Scrubs. They asked him what his current music obsession was, and he talked about how he couldn't stop listening to VLVODAAHF! (If I find the link again, I'll post it) Fix You was in another episode.
