Dang, I need to pay attention to the Elbow thread more often. I completely forgot they were coming out with a new album soon, and Lippy Kids sounds wonderful. Definitely in the vein of The Seldom Seen Kid, which is a difficult record to top, so I'd like to hear a few different things too. Still, sounding quite good at this point.

I thought I read somewhere that Miller did too? If he doesn't read it regularly, I know he has in the past since he does give Coldplaying mentions every now and then in roadie blogs. If one of the four band members read this, though? Not only would I think they'd be scarred for life mentally, but it would probably put Guy back on the booze, cause Will to shed his hair and bald permanently, cause Jonny to seriously question his sexuality (as well as never look at Chris the same way again), and cause Chris...actually, I think Chris would find this forum hilarious for whatever reason.

Probably for the best. I know the song probably would have benefited from a full band treatment, but Chris's performance during the Keynote left a real sour taste in my mouth, anyway. That said, recycled lyrics haven't stopped Coldplay before. X&Y has numerous songs with lyrical reuse.

Well, that was a fun use of half my day. Maybe I can still squeeze some holiday shopping in. Had fun on here, but I can't guarantee I'll be here tomorrow. All depends on whether or not I have to drive down to LA. I'll probably check in later today to comment on the actual setlist once we get full confirmation, though.

Funny thing is that we probably only know 1/3 of the songs that have been played, seeing as how IMP was reported about an hour ago. But we probably know the big surprises so far regardless.

Trouble, Shiver, TKC...it's okay, I'm still sane. Definitely jealous, but not quite foaming at the mouth in envy. Now, if they whip out Sparks or a never-played track from AROBTTH? Then I'll probably lose my mind.

9.52pm: From our little room up two flights of stairs and down a corridor, we can hear that the band are playing Trouble. Sounds blooming great, even through a bunch of walls. Could crowd backing vocals for the "They spun a web for me" bit. We're off to take some more pics...

Wow, I totally just postponed my plans for final Christmas shopping AGAIN because of these updates (just need to shop for my mom, but I've been putting it off for over a week now). This is bloody worth it, though. :D

I have never heard of Steve Strange. I'm a bad fan. :\ Then again, I'm sure I'm not alone. My guesses were Franksy, Brian Eno, and Homer Simpson (because I could).

Chris's dad? Whoa. I would have sent that in as a joke response, quite honestly. :P
