I've been addicted to "Some Riot" lately. Elbow really are a talented bunch. I never mentioned it, but I used "Friend of Ours" in a video for school last year.

I think the better question to ask is what the hell people were thinking about IMP in 2008. #24? Really? IMP is, of course, one of the best live songs, and more folks have probably gotten a chance to hear it live.

Well, seeing as it's a compilation of a bazillion lists, the odds that someone will be completely satisfied is pretty much none. Still, would like to have seen Amsterdam place higher. My guess at the Top 10?

Good to see SITS bounce back. Also good to see that A Message improved, but maybe that was thanks to last-minute votes that occurred after Hope for Haiti Now. Last minute shocker prediction: Viva la Vida will miss the Top 10. :P

I know people are getting nitpicky at other placements, but AROBTTH really is my one disappointment so far, especially seeing as how it slipped 11 spots when only a few new songs have been released since the last poll. Here's hoping that Amsterdam does a lot better.

Fascinating how "Til Kingdom Come" not only reappeared after its 2008 absence, but improved on its 2006 ranking. Maybe it had something to do with Will singing it a few times? I dunno.

So it's been confirmed that this episode received the worst viewership ratings out of any new Simpsons episode in history (5.1 million). I suppose that's what you get for airing a new episode opposite the Grammys and a bunch of sports games.

Just watched the episode, which actually wasn't that great. (although I did love how they outright killed off the "Create a Character" winner) So not only did Coldplay deserve a larger role, but they probably deserved a better episode. But at the very least, the Coldplay.com clip gives me a huge smile, though. :)

I'm not watching the show right now, so tell me - did people actually applaud the anti-piracy shit?

So far it's basically B-sides and pre-Parachutes material. I hope a B-side or two can still manage to crack the Top 30.

The episode hasn't aired here yet, but I'm not surprised that that's all there was. I think when this was first announced, I went on a little rant about how a lot of guest bands get really lousy roles on The Simpsons. As a loyal viewer of the yellow family, however, I'm still tuning in for the rest of the episode. :)

Well, they'll have to get a new album out before October or whenever the nomination period ends. So I think Coldplay's gonna sit next year's show out. Also, I don't think Muse has the mainstream popularity in America to get a nomination anyways (that and The Resistance was good but not fantastic).
