  1. More on the state of the bees........ Bees are dying and nobody knows why. There are a lot of theories, including a new strain of disease, pesticides spread on crops, genetically modified plants, the breaking down of the bee’s immune system, and of course, the most hyped, mobile phone waves. This recent disappearance of the honey bee has been tagged CCD – “Colony Collapse Disorder”. It appears what exactly is happening is bees are leaving their hives and not coming back. Some suggest their tracking system has failed and unable to return to their hives they die. But what’s interesting is when bee hives are abandoned they are often taken over by other bees and insects but instead these hives are remaining abandoned, full of disease. Scientists who have studied left behind bees have discovered every strain of disease known to infect bees, sometimes five or six infections in one bee. Environmentalists are blaming this bee epidemic on the growing use of genetically modified plants and the ever increasing use of pesticides in protecting and artificially stimulating plant growth. The chemicals in and on the plants are breaking down the bees immune system, making them more susceptible to disease. Why should we care what happens to the bees? Bees pollinate everything from alfalfa to broccoli, apples to almonds, sunflowers, soybeans, citrus; pretty much everything under the sun. The pollination of crops in the U.S. alone accounts for $15 billion worth of crops. The suggestion is, if bees die out completely, man will follow soon after. In fact, some extremists suggest that the dying, or rather killing, of bees is the Elitists way of controlling the human population, for it is the big companies that are manipulating plant life, and the government and big business are intertwined, and government can do with a much more condensed global population. It is a much less obvious form of genocide. Albert Einstein was quoted as saying, “If the bees disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man.” So what do we do? If it truly is the chemicals companies use in and on plants that are making bees extinct then something must be done to stop this. Do we really need to eat extra large produce or mass produce genetically altered ‘so-called perfect seeds’? This is why producing and shopping organic is the only way to go. Not only are you guaranteed pesticide free fruits, vegetable, nuts, seeds, but you are often supporting your local farm rather than the corporate giants that are forcing them out of business. And for you meat eaters, who’s not to say that those pesticides are ending up in our chicken and beef because the livestock are feeding on the same seeds and grains that the bees are dying from pollinating. If bees are dying from pollinating the same plants and seeds cattle graze on and we as humans are consuming these plants and these cattle, then Albert Einstein may very well be right. Man is not that far behind the bees.
  2. Scary shit. I just hope he runs his ass back to Newcastle so we can find out if he's going to still be playing for us next season.
  3. I knew it would get edited. BUT....There's pages after pages of copyrighted material posted on here every day......all left un-moderated. But I guess these Interpol ones were PRE-RELEASE.......should that make a difference though? Anyway....I think Scale was the one I seemed to like more. I've even deleted the tracks from my computer because I don't want to listen to them anymore until the Album release.
  4. I could get my balls severed...but.... EDIT:I posted the Rapidshare link but now.... .....I've edited my post so now it just links to another site. *these aren't droids you seek here* NOTE: Quality isn't good really and they have "All Fired Up" named wrongly on the download.. I'm not going to comment on the songs yet. I don't want to start a fight.
  5. Nah, there wasn't really. Just a bit about the recording studio environment.
  6. Another reason why people shouldn't even consider buying Bernard Matthews products. I certainly do not. It's bad for you, they treat the animals appaulingly and they have scum like that working for them.
  7. US tank bombs Iraq Sunni mosque Press TV Monday June 18, 2007 Muslim Scholars Association has said in an online statement that US forces bombed a Sunni mosque in Baquba, killing five Iraqis. The association which is headed by Harith al-Dhari indicated that a US tank destroyed the Abdullah Ibn Mubarak mosque in Baquba, 60 kilometers northeast of Baghdad, on Sunday. The attack, according to the statement has left five Iraqis dead, DPA reported. The incident came a day after a suicide bomber blew up a vehicle against the Sunni Al-Anwar mosque in the town of Al-Haswa, 60 kilometers south of Baghdad, killing eight people Analysts say the United States is behind such terrorist acts in Iraq and with its prolonged presence in the war-torn country is doing its utmost to pit Sunnis against Shias under the guise of war against terror. On Sunday informed sources reported that the US Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte had planned the attack on the holy Shia shrine in Samarra, a measure to sow discord between Shias and Sunnis as the main Islamic schools of thought. The blast in Samarra which destroyed the minarets of the sacred shrines of the Shia Imams was performed with the assistance of the former Saddam regime's security agents, the sources added.
  8. "Less straightforward, more oblique" That's exactly what I wanted to hear.
  9. Sounds nice doesn't it? Shame the wests occupation of the country is going to on for many, many years. and... Where is the section that describes how we throw a whole bunch of our 'leaders' in jail for crimes against humanity?
  10. They are? Not sure if I'll listen but... *Goes looking*
  11. Exactly. I mean, I don't like to wear extremely saggy pants but making a law where any visable underwear mean a large fine or up to six months in jail is a seriously bad and frightening step. In fact I am wearing fairly standard fitting/looking pants right now and if I slighty bend down to pick something up you can see my underwear.....or if I was to reach up for some reason I guess the tops of my underwear can been seen. So...If that's me, what about all the other people in Delcambre who will also end up showing a tiny bit of their underwear if they mean to or not? There are going to be some very odd court cases over there I feel.
  12. Fuck them. What a bunch of idiotic pricks. I'd love to meet those who put this forward and tell them what sick little police-state whores they are. So, it's now "if I can see your underwear" you might get six months in Jail. Then, kids growing up will think that this law is normality - and will then probably sit back and let the next stage happen - "No bare shoulders"......and on and on.... People need to stand up to this horse shit!
  13. They all just need to say less, create powerful, alternative music and they'll be fine. I think it's what the band really want to do but never seem to quite get around to it. Musically, their early stuff was far more alternative - with slightly more unusual musical ideas - now (well, X&Y) it's all too predictable. Only a couple of songs from their last effort were even remotely moving in an exciting direction. Look at all the good songs from the pre AROBTTH era that were either never recorded or were only ever b-sides. Either Chirs and the boys turn it around now or they'll never gain the real respect that they should be able achieve.
  14. Type (with out the spaces obviously)... [ m e d i a ]THEN THE YOUTUBE LINK[ / m e d i a ] Remember you don't need to space the letters out. I just have to so that they appear for you to see.
  15. Yeah, the hairs on my body stand on end just thinking about parts of the song in my head. It's a great Readiohead moment. I really dislike songs being called "boring" - because they are slow? ....Nah, I'm not having that. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Eq9t2FFh6LA You can't tell me that at around 4:02 you don't want to explode!!
  16. U.S. official Samarra attack may have been inside job CNN Downplays Second-False Flag Bombing of Golden Mosque in Follow-up Story-- the Update Obscures the Previous 'Inside Job' Report by Replacing the Link & Killing the Story Jones Report Thursday June 14, 2007 COMMENT: Now CNN has changed the damning 'inside job' headline ( see SCREEN SHOT) to a more disguised story that downplays significance. CNN replaced the link and effectively killed the story that this is the 2nd FALSE-FLAG bombing of the Golden mosque (see Feb 2006)-- one of Iraq's most holy places. Both were believed to have been carried out in part by Iraqi forces and directed by Western intelligence. Such self-inflicted violence is only used as a tool to enrage the opposition and further perpetuate the Iraq War. Of course, it just came out that the U.S. is arming Sunni insurgents 'to fight al-Qaeda'-- further evidence that the West seeks to extend the war. Naturally, the bombing has already led to retaliation-- a desired and planned response. BAGHDAD, Iraq -- Authorities have evidence that Wednesday's bombing of Al-Askariya Mosque in Samarra was an inside job, and 15 members of the Iraqi security forces have been arrested, a U.S. military official said. The attack Wednesday destroyed two towers, referred to as minarets, at the revered Shiite shrine, police said. It was a repeat of the 2006 bombing that sparked Iraq's current wave of deadly sectarian violence. There was no immediate word on casualties in the city north of Baghdad. The U.S. military official, Maj. Gen. Benjamin Mixon, told CNN's Karl Penhaul that he believes members of the Iraqi security forces who were guarding the site either assisted or directly took part in helping al Qaeda insurgents place and detonate explosives at the mosque's minarets. "He told me there was no evidence at all that this was an attack using mortars or anything of the like and said, in his words, that this was an inside job," Penhaul told CNN's "American Morning." Mixon said an additional Iraqi army brigade will be sent to Samarra. So far, there have been no reports of sectarian clashes in the city. Within hours of the attacks, Iraqi state television announced that Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki had imposed a curfew for Baghdad until further notice. A U.S. military official in northern Iraq told The Associated Press that Samarra appeared calm by Wednesday afternoon. The explosions rocked the town and blew billowing dust clouds into the air, store owner Imad Nagi told the AP. "After the dust settled, I couldn't see the minarets anymore," Nagi told the AP. "So I closed the shop quickly and went home." The blast followed clashes between gunmen and Iraqi National Police, who were guarding the holy site. During the firefight, the insurgents entered the mosque, also known as the Golden Dome, planted explosives around the minarets and detonated them. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini called the bombing a "criminal and anti-Islamic action," characterizing it as the "continuation of spiteful attacks of enemies of Iraqi national unity," according to Iran's Islamic Republic News Agency. Hosseini also referred to the "negligence of occupiers to guarantee security in holy sites." Iran, which borders Iraq, is predominantly Shiite. Around 60 percent of Iraqis are Shiite as well. Radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr called for three days of mourning to mark the destruction of the minarets, according to a statement. "Let the next three days be mourning days, where we spread the black banners and a call to prayer and shouting God is great in our mosques, whether they are Sunnis or Shiites, and to organize peaceful demonstrations and sit-ins in order for everyone to witness that the only enemy of Iraq is the occupation and therefore everyone must demand its departure or a timetable of its occupation." The anti-American cleric also said no rival Sunni Arab could have been responsible for the bombing, calling the development a "cursed American-Israeli scenario that aims to spread the turmoil and plant the hatred among the Muslim brethren." The U.S. ambassador to Iraq and the top U.S. military commander in the country issued a joint condemnation saying that this "brutal action on one of Iraq's holiest shrines is a deliberate attempt by al Qaeda to sow dissent and inflame sectarian strife among the people of Iraq." "It is an act of desperation by an increasingly beleaguered enemy seeking to obstruct the peaceful, political and economic development of a democratic Iraq," said Ambassador Ryan C. Crocker and Gen. David Petraeus in a statement. "We share in the outrage of the Iraqi people against this crime, and we call on all Iraqis to reject this call to violence. We cannot allow these terrorists to work against the interests of the Iraqi people who are seeking peace and prosperity for all." During the February 2006 strike on the mosque, attackers dressed as Iraqi police commandos bombed and heavily damaged the shrine, collapsing the top half of the dome. Although Samarra is a predominantly Sunni city, Askariya is one of the four major Shiite shrines in Iraq. Iraq's other major Shiite sites are in the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala. The fourth is in the Baghdad district of Kadhimiya.

  20. Blair Calls For Chinese Style Net Controls In the UK Declares war on "pernicious conspiracy theory" media coverage Steve Watson Tuesday, June 12, 2007 Related Article: Internet Doomsday Creeps Closer Outgoing British Prime Minister Tony Blair has savaged online media today in a speech in which he declared war on the free press by hinting at new restrictions on internet journalism and suggested that the media should be brought more into line with the government. Blair complained that the media was too "feral" (i.e. not tamed by the government) and referring to online journalism stated: "In fact, the new forms can be even more pernicious, less balanced, more intent on the latest conspiracy theory multiplied by five." This is an outright call for a crackdown on the free press. Blair is out in the open here saying the media is too independent of the government, he is admitting that the freedom with which the media, especially online, is now operating is hurting his government and its agenda. Despite the fact that it is the government itself that has consistently lied to and refused to listen to the British people, Blair blamed the media for an undermining of trust in the government amongst the people and further accused the media of being responsible for a moral downturn in Britain. "The damage saps the country's confidence and self-belief; it undermines its assessment of itself, its institutions; and above all, it reduces our capacity to take the right decisions, in the right spirit for our future.'' Blair stated. This is rich given the fact that when New Labour came into power in 1997 Blair's government quickly became masters of spin, using the media as a tool of hype to whip up a frenzy of positive attention towards itself. Blair even admitted that his government readily did this and is to blame for what he now sees as a brutal backlash: ''We paid inordinate attention in the early days of New Labour to courting, assuaging, and persuading the media ....such an attitude ran the risk of fuelling the trends in communications that I am about to question.'' Blair stated. So there you have it, the government used and spat out the media and now it doesn't like the fact that it is no longer trusted and is scrutinized as if under a microscope, especially by the independent and online media which does not pander to corporate masters. Therefore Blair's solution is to bring in an online journalism regulator to decide what is "balanced" reporting and what is not. Such a move is exactly the kind of thing that has been witnessed in Communist China in an effort to crackdown on criticism of the government there. Blair has recently been under the media microscope concerning the BAE cover up over Saudi arms dealing. Before that he was subject to scrutiny and twice questioned by police over the cash for honours scandal where peerages were handed out by the government in exchange for financial favours. No doubt these are the kind of "conspiracy theories" Mr Blair wishes the media to be unable to cover, along with the scores of lies he told in the lead up to the Iraq war. Blair can whine and whine all day long but the fact is it is the openness with which his government has conducted its criminal actions and its own attempts to use the free press as a propaganda arm that has led to a surge in media scrutiny. There is nothing he nor his elite masters can do to win this battle save shutting down the internet and free speech completely and risking revolution.
  21. Your welcome. I went through a stage of adding lots of old TV Programme intros to my favourites on my Youtube account. ..But I forgot about this one until I read your description of the cartoon. It just clicked in my mind and I realised exactly what you were on about. Check out my retro TV playlist http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=BA058EF4B4BE77C3 (Probably leans more towards UK TV)
  22. Someone on BBC London News said "they do not suspect this to be a 'terrorist' attack" Haha, yeah...No shit Sherlock!
  23. Whats wrong with the BBC coverage? it didn't predicit that the building would collapse over half an hour before it did. (no-one will get that joke)
  24. You gotta laugh at this.....a little. 06.11.2007 PARIS HAS POWERFUL ALLIES If you're one of the ones defending Paris Hilton, congratulations, because these are your contemporaries.
