Bunker mentality as Israelis prepare for nuclear fallout Sonia Verma, Zikhron Yaaqov London Times Saturday, March 10, 2007 As world leaders debate sanctions to curb Iran’s nuclear programme, hundreds of Israeli families are already installing bunkers in their homes to protect against radioactive fallout from a possible attack. Thousands of private homes have been equipped with nuclear-proof equipment ranging from air filters to water-decontamination systems. But builders and contractors say that the demand in the past few months for fully fledged atomic shelters has surged, fuelled by speculation that Iran is building a nuclear weapon that it would not hesitate to use against Israel. Atomic shelters range in price from £70,000 to £500,000. They feature 70cm thick blast-proof doors, ballistic windows, water and air-decontamination systems, which promise to sustain life for up to six months. Shlomo Yakov, an Israeli industrialist, spent £300,000 on a nuclear bunker for his family at his sprawling seaside villa just north of Tel Aviv. The underground shelter features a master bedroom and children’s room, a decontaminated-water shower and an electrical generator that feeds a flat-screen television, surround-sound system and fully stocked stainless steel fridge. “The cost is nothing compared to the peace of mind it provides my family,” said Mr Yakov, who has three young children. He does not advertise its existence. “If there was ever a scare, there would be a stampede,” he said. Fears of a nuclear attack first surfaced in Israel during the Gulf War in 1991. In recent months it has become a national obsession. A recent survey in Ma’ariv, found that two thirds of Israelis believe that Iran, if it develops a nuclear weapon, would use it to destroy Israel. Collective angst over such a scenario has even seeped into the country’s popular culture: Israel’s controversial entry into this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, Push the Button by the punk band Teapacks, is a cry against nuclear obliteration. Right-wing Israeli politicians argue that the time for diplomacy is over. Iran could have the bomb by 2009, the country’s chief intelligence officer cautioned in his recent security assessment. “Iran’s President says time and again he is committed to Israel’s destruction. We have to take those threats seriously, and do everything in our power to avoid it,” said Ephraim Sneh, the deputy Defence Minister, The Knesset has speeded up construction of its own nuclear shelter, built beneath pine-covered hills outside Jerusalem. The bunker will serve as a command post in case of war. The Government also recently approved construction of a public shelter underneath Jerusalem’s new railway station to accommodate hundreds of civilians. Construction is due to be complete by 2011. Ahim Torati, one company that specializes in nuclear shelters, has received ten orders to build private bunkers in the past month alone. “You can hear the fear in people’s voices when they call,” said Talia Torati, an employee. The Israeli Government requires home builders to install blast-proof rooms in residential houses, but so far has stopped short of ordering nuclear shelters, saying that there is no need for public panic.

Don't like ID cards? Hand over your passport
Don't like ID cards? Hand over your passport Anybody who objects to their personal details going on the new "Big Brother" ID cards database will be banned from having a passport. James Hall, the official in charge of the supposedly-voluntary scheme, said the Government would allow people to opt out - but in return they must "forgo the ability" to have a travel document. With one in every eight people saying they will refuse to sign-up, up to five million adults could effectively be refused permission to leave the country. Campaigners reacted to Mr Hall's remarks with fury, saying they were yet more evidence of the lurch towards "Big Brother" Britain. Phil Booth, of the NO2ID group, said: "The idea that ID cards scheme is voluntary, and people can opt-out, is a joke. "There are all sorts of reasons why people need to travel, not just for holidays. There is work, visiting relatives. "What are these people supposed to do? It stretches the definition of voluntary beyond breaking point. They will go to any length to get personal information for this huge database. Who knows what will happen to it then?" Mr Hall, chief executive of the Identity and Passport Service, delivered his warning during a Downing Street "webchat". One concerned member of the public, Andrew Michael Edwards, asked what would happen to people who refuse to join the £5.4 billion scheme. Mr Hall replied: "There is no need to register and have fingerprints taken - but you will forgo the ability to have a passport". Officials later explained the meaning of his remark. The first ID cards will be issued in 2009, to anybody who applies for a passport. People will be required to give fingerprints, biometric details such as a facial scan and a wealth of personal details - including second homes, driving licence and insurance numbers. All will be stored on a giant ID cards Register, which can be accessed by accredited Whitehall departments, banks and businesses. While The ID Cards Bill was going through Parliament, peers agreed an "opt out" with Ministers for people who needed a passport, but did not want to participate in the ID cards scheme. It was the only way the Lords would accept the legislation, amid howls of concern that it represents yet another move towards a surveillance society. But, as Mr Hall's comments this week make clear, the opt-out only applies to being physically issued with a card. In order to get a passport, people will still have to hand over all their personal details for storage on the ID cards Register - where they will be treated in the same was as those who agreed to sign-up. They simply avoid getting the card - even though they will have to pay the full combined price of £93 for an ID card and passport. It means that, despite the Government repeatedly insisting the scheme is voluntary, the only way to avoid signing-up is to never obtain or renew a passport.

Why Global Warming Is A Sham
Video: The Great Global Warming Swindle Youtube Saturday, March 10, 2007 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6Wr1hcIp2U Are you green? How many flights have you taken in the last year? Feeling guilty about all those unnecessary car journeys? Well, maybe ... there's no need to feel bad. According to a group of scientists brought together by documentary-maker Martin Durkin, if the planet is heating up, it isn't your fault and there's nothing you can do about it. We've almost begun to take it for granted that climate change is a man-made phenomenon. But just as the environmental lobby think they've got our attention, a group of naysayers have emerged to slay the whole premise of global warming.

THE U.S. ECONOMIC BOOM ROLLS ON
WHAT?!?! Are you on crack? That article is basically lying and also saying "if someone else tells you otherwise they probably are a dirty democrat". The US economy is fucked pal. The United States is now by far the biggest debtor nation in the world is currently over 8.5 trillion dollars in debt and that is projected to go to 10 trillion or more in a few years. Trillions vanish from the Pentagon and they "don't know where it's gone". Seriously, actually losing trillions and not knowing where it is! Lending 2 Billion a day to help fight some of the debt problems off. I'm not a blanket Democrat OR Republican supporter. And that's the way it sould be these days. Both parties are the same. Owned and ran by the same private bankers.

Joy. Another pointless and idiotic thread. When signing up everyone has the option in their profiles to show their age - I guess that would be a place to start, huh? And if their age isn't there so what?...they obviously don't want that particular fact known. So, you really needed to start a thread called "how old are you?" so badly? This place is fast becoming childish Spam Central* *Culture reference: "Spook Central" - Ghostbusters [1984]

In this instance I think it's a reference to the arrangement of the string parts, the way the notes slur and the actual scale used. It can be identified in the west as a common Indian musical cliché

Sony Brings Real Life Matrix A Step Closer
Sony Brings Real Life "Matrix" A Step Closer Sets precedent for future artificial utopias constructed to escape hellhole of real world Paul Joseph Watson & Alex Jones Thursday, March 8, 2007 Sony is preparing to unveil a simulated reality world in which Playstation gamers can create a new life for themselves, complete with their own apartment, friends, movies, shopping and entertainment, bringing the reality of an actual matrix a step closer. "Sony has unveiled plans for its own virtual universe for the PlayStation 3 where users will be able to socialise, shop and even go to the movies -- all without setting foot outside in the real world. The service -- a kind of MySpace meets Linden Lab's Second Life meets the video-sharing site YouTube -- will become available for PS3 users worldwide in late 2007, Sony announced in a statement available here Thursday," reports AFP. The concept of simulated reality is understood to mean a computer generated world that is almost indistinguishable from reality. Though Sony's "Home" service is at its foundation just a souped up interactive entertainment platform, the technology to in effect step inside the screen, similar to a virtual reality experience, is close at hand. The technology to take a video capture of an individual, turn it into a kind of hologram and then beam it to the other side of the world and have that hologram interact with others already exists. Within the next fifteen years we are likely to see the transformation of online shopping to the point where buyers can actually walk through virtual reality stores and pick up and inspect the holograms of the products they are interested in. Projecting even further down the line, simulated reality allied with hologram technology will allow individuals to attend social gatherings, educational classes, sports events and more without having to leave the comfort of their own home. Whether such events are actually taking place in the real world or are solely artificial creations of the virtual environment will be down to the discretion of the user. All this paves the way for a potential Matrix-like scenario where people are literally plugged in to a falsely constructed reality. Whoever controls that Matrix thus controls the activities of its users and participation may eventually become mandatory, with babies subsequently being born directly into the matrix. Or on the other hand, the Matrix could act as a kind of subscription based escapism, where users pay extortionate fees to exist inside a mock utopia in order to flee the horror of the real world. This scenario was fictionalized in the popular 1990's UK Sci-fi sitcom Red Dwarf, where the crew partake in a "Total Immersion Video Game" called Better than Life, a virtual reality paradise where one's every demand is instantly gratified. In the novel of the same name, the characters are unaware that they are living in an artificial reality and the system even causes the users to imagine semi-plausible explanations for strange events so that they never come to the realization that their life is a technologically induced hallucination. Meanwhile, the bodies of the users in the real world wither away and die while they are consciously locked into the game. Parallels can be drawn to an increasing trend that is particularly prevalent in Asia, where individuals become addicted to online games, play for 50 hours straight before collapsing and dying. Philip K. Dick covered similar territory in his book Time Out of Joint, where the main character slowly comes to the realization that existence is a utopian 1950's construct bubble-wrapped around people to prevent them waking up to the nightmare that the real world is 30 years in the future and embroiled in interplanetary war. The theme was touched upon again in a later Red Dwarf episode, Back to Reality, but this time the crew apparently die but then are awoken to be told they have spent four years inside a virtual reality simulation and that it's time to return to the real world. The characters soon find out why they wanted to plug themselves into a contrived simulation in the first place, their lives are worthless, the world has turned into a Socialist dictatorship and demand to escape into the artificial utopia is incessant. Though later it turns out to be a shared hallucination, the episode provides an allegorical warning to resist the human temptation to give up on reality and replace it with an induced nirvana. For those who doubt that the human race could be lured into such an all-encompassing matrix, consider the fact that our own eyes are merely windows through which our brain decodes information in different ways. Anyone with a basic knowledge of how to control this process can influence our thinking patterns and this has been achieved through the medium of television, which is in itself a kind of artificial reality where the viewer is put in a highly suggestible state and experiences suspended disbelief, believing in the moment everything on the screen to be real. Travel down any average suburban American street and no longer will you see people outside talking to their neighbors or children playing, these activities having been replaced by the blue glow of the television that can be seen emanating from every window. There will also be a prominent segment of the population, the Trans-Humanist movement, that will vociferously advocate the simulated reality nexus and call for those who refuse to participate to be punished and relegated to the fringes of society as some kind of caste sub-species. A concurrent theme that runs throughout almost all dystopic futurist cinema and literature is the concept that technology is advancing at a rate far too quickly for humans to adequately judge its moral implications and eventual impact. Sony's "Home" service is another small step towards a not so distant future in which human beings choose or are forced to exist inside a false reality, while a tiny elite claim the real world as their own, ruling over it as they please while the majority of humans are transfixed by the temptation to escape into a simulated environment.

Boeing Fitting Aircraft With Illegal Parts?
Boeing Fitting Aircraft With Illegal Parts? Chip that was illegally installed in 2000 could have been utilized to execute 9/11 attacks Paul Joseph Watson & Alex Jones Wednesday, March 7, 2007 Are Boeing fitting their aircraft with illegal devices that could enable terrorists to remotely hijack airliners and crash them into high profile targets? In light of what happened on 9/11, Boeing's blanket denial that this practice has taken place is both highly suspicious and a threat to national security. We called ALPA, the world's largest pilot's union, to ask them if such technology had been installed in commercial airliners and they denied all knowledge, despite the fact that Boeing were hit with a record fine of $15 million after the company broke the law by selling commercial planes equipped with the QRS-11 gyrochip, which is also used in the guidance system of the Maverick missile. According to the Associated Press, from 2000 to 2003 Boeing shipped 94 airliners oversees, mainly to China, that contained the chip, a device used for "military applications," stated the report. According to the Seattle Times, "The QRS-11 chip, made by a unit of BEI Technologies in Concord, Calif., is just over 1-½ inches in diameter and weighs about 2 ounces. It sells for between $1,000 and $2,000. Described as "a gyro on a chip," it is used to help control the flight of missiles and aircraft." "There could be dozens, even hundreds more components like the QRS11 gyros that have slipped under the eyes of State Department enforcers, said Joel Johnson, the vice president international of the Aerospace Industries Association," reports the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), and "Aircraft incorporating the QRS11 chips are already routinely making flights." Should it concern us that Boeing began installation of a chip that turns a plane into a remotely guided missile immediately before 9/11? One month before 9/11, German newspaper Der Spiegel reported that U.S. military-industrial complex giant Raytheon landed a 727 jet six times by remote control using GPS technology at a Hollomon AFB in New Mexico. In April 2001, aviation history was made when a Global Hawk, which is equivalent in wingspan to a Boeing 737, flew by remote control out of Edwards Air Force Base, across the Pacific Ocean, and landed safely at the Royal Australian Air Force base at Edinburgh, in South Australia state. Other sources from within the airline industry have told us that such devices were common in aircraft years before 9/11, a remarkable supposition that has led many to suspect that the attacks on the Pentagon and the World Trade Center were executed using this remote access system. Recent newspaper reports discussing these devices and the policy to have them in all airliners within three years assure us that they would prevent another 9/11 style outrage - but because any such system is vulnerable to hacking allied with the fact that pilots have no way of overriding the autopilot, not even with secure access codes, this only increases the chances of another 9/11 style attack. A comprehensive investigation on behalf of those who have the authority and resources to perform it needs to be mandated immediately into whether devices that completely remove control of a plane from the pilot and that have illegally been installed in many existing aircraft are a fundamental danger to national security.

9/11 - The Inside Job **NEW INFO & UPDATES WHEN THEY HAPPEN**
Right, there is some major 9/11 news coming out. Well, It's major news if you care about this. Not that you'll hear about it on the news because it's very complex and most people will probably be too lazy to stick with it for long - when this get really serious I notice most folk just think it's all long winded nonsense. Well, here's a newsflash, 9/11 Truth investigations like this are no way nonsense but are in fact amazing demonstrations of great minds, great people and sheer persistence that will help us unlock many more area's of this crazy maze. In the next few days I'm sure this story will expand as more of the details are verified. Pilot's Lawsuit Alleges Airliners Rigged With Explosives Boeing VP admitted fact in speech, remote control connection to 9/11 tantalizing Paul Joseph Watson Wednesday, March 7, 2007 Field McConnell, a pilot for Northwest Airlines, has filed a lawsuit charging that many commercial airliners are rigged with explosives that can be remotely detonated. He refuses to fly until such devices are removed. McConnell's claim is seemingly given credence by none other than Boeing's vice-president, who tacitly admitted the fact in a speech last year. "The lawsuit, filed last week, claims Boeing Co. and the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) can’t assure him that B747-400 planes are safe. McConnell, who is the process of seeking an early retirement from Northwest, claims the planes are rigged by Boeing and can be remotely detonated," reports the West Central Tribune. “I am obligated under company procedures and FAA regulation not to operate an aircraft if I suspect it is unsafe,” McConnell, 57, states in his handwritten claim." McConnell's claims are given credence by a January 2006 speech given by Doug Bain, Boeing senior vice president and general counsel, at Boeing Leadership Meeting in Orlando, Florida. "One nasty little thing is that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, which has an almost explicit prohibition on possessing explosives. For those of you who are at BCA [boeing Commercial Airplanes], you might remember that every single door on an airplane has actuators that are triggered by explosives," said Bain. Was this a slip of the tongue? Is Bain telling us that all airliners are rigged with explosives that can be remotely detonated? For what possible purpose? The issue of remote control operation of airliners was again in the news last week. The London Daily Mail reported Sunday that the technology is expected to be installed in all airliners within three years, according to Boeing insiders. Far from preventing another 9/11 style attack, as the Mail states, from everything we have learned about the U.S. government's complicity in the plot to slam airliners into the World Trade Center and Pentagon, this technology enhances the possibility of a rogue agency remotely hijacking a plane and crashing it into their desired target. As far back as 1984, NASA were conducting experiments involving crash scenarios and using remote control technology to fly large commercial airliners (pictured below). "On the morning of December 1, 1984, a remotely controlled Boeing 720 transport took off from Edwards Air Force Base, California, made a left-hand departure and climbed to an altitude of 2300 feet. The aircraft was remotely flown by NASA research pilot Fitzhugh (Fitz) Fulton from the NASA Dryden Remotely Controlled Vehicle Facility." President Bush himself highlighted the use of this technology in a speech he gave at O'Hare Airport in Chicago, just over two weeks after 9/11. "We will set aside $500 million in new funding for aircraft security....We will look at all kinds of technologies to make sure that our airlines are safe, and for example including technology to enable controllers to take over distressed aircraft and land it by remote control." In April of last year, Boeing were hit with a record fine of $615 million after the company broke the law by selling commercial planes equipped with the QRS-11 gyrochip, which is also used in the guidance system of the Maverick missile. According to the Associated Press, from 2000 to 2003 Boeing shipped 94 airliners oversees, mainly to China, that contained the chip, a device used for "military applications," stated the report. McConnell says he has evidence that "The QRS11 trail leads back to Communist China's funding of the second Clinton presidential run and then to Joe Giroir and Hillary Clinton, former partners at the Rose Law Firm, and finally the crime of Arkancide and the death of Ron Brown," and that "The Iridium satellite system used to steer electronically-hijacked jets fitted with QRS11 gyroscopes on 9/11 was probably commanded from virtual and physical war rooms embedded in Canada Steamship Lines vessels built by China for CAI-Carlyle Canada." Was such a device or one of its offshoots used for the "military application" of executing the 9/11 attacks? The connection is tantalizing and one that deserves further study in order to ascertain the danger of rogue elements of the military industrial complex utilizing this technology to carry out another terrorist black-op. McConnell appears as a guest on The Alex Jones Show today to present his evidence for such a scenario.

Why Global Warming Is A Sham
Global Warming 101 John Perna JBS Wednesday, March 7, 2007 Here is an undeniable scientific truth: The volume of the water that is produced when ice melts is exactly equal to the volume of the water that the ice displaced, when it was floating. Water expands when it freezes into ice. That is why freezing pipes break. That is why ice floats on top of water. If every iceberg in the world were to melt, the level of the ocean would not go up by one inch, or by one millimeter. If every iceberg in the world were to melt, the level of the ocean would not go up at all. There is no land at the North Pole. There is land at the South Pole. The surface area of the oceans is many times as large as the surface of the land which contains ice. If all of the ice that is on land was to melt, this would make almost no difference in the level of the ocean. Carbon dioxide is to a plant what oxygen is to an animal. More carbon dioxide means that plants grow better and faster. When plants grow better and faster, the total amount of plant matter increases. Increases in the amount of plant matter cause more consumption of carbon dioxide. More consumption of carbon dioxide lowers the level of carbon dioxide. New ozone is continuously produced, at an incredible rate, by sunlight passing through air. Ozone is continuously decomposing back into oxygen, no matter what man does. The natural production and decomposition of ozone is so large that mankind could not change this balance of nature if he wanted to do so. Halogenated hydrocarbons would be destroyed by contact with ozone, but halogenated hydrocarbons are heavier than air, and do not go up to the ozone layer. Mankind has never produce enough halogenated hydrocarbons to have any effect at all on the total amount of ozone. Ozone fluctuations are results of the cycles of the sun. These cycles have been occurring since the beginning of Earth. Every species that is still here is one that has been able to adapt and to survive them. The equilibriums of nature are more powerful than anything that man can do. Trying to shift any of the equilibriums of nature would be like trying to make an ocean have two different water levels. Government uses a lack of understanding of basic science on the part of the public to increase its own power by convincing people that they are in danger, and that they can only be saved by letting the government institute more controls. In short, nature regulates itself. Government could never regulate nature. But it can regulate people.

Hey, nice one. I seldom hear anyone who I think can actually make music when listening to work by people on the Internet. I mostly don't 'get' or quite understand how some people put forward the notion that they are good musicians and write "quality" songs. But you know how to make music and well, in a virtual cyber world of almost 95% pure shit I think you gotta feel a certain amount of succor over the fact that you are not part of the aforementioned tripe. That is all. :smash: Judge Gareth has spoken, haha.

Wanting to play live...
It's common for electronic Keyboards to simply be output via the P.A speakers without the use of a dedicated keyboard amp. So, if the keyboard has twin (L and R) outputs then two jack leads would go from the keyboard into two channels on the mixer (say 5 & 6) - then obviously the mixer would be powering the P.A speakers and you would have sound. But some people might want to just use a keyboard amp - it's just down to what you are going for as a "sound" and also it depends on the size of the venue I guess. Also, if the P.A system is relatively small then it can be the case that you don't really want to overload it with too many sounds. AND.. (probably not even needed but..) Real organs (Like a Hammond B5 for example) are often used with their own controllable rotary speaker (commonly a Leslie). Which then MAY or MAY NOT be mic'd up....depending on the venue size...
