What do you think...Muse and Radiohead
I haven't read more than 4 or 5 posts, but this thread has gotten more play than I would have imagined. It's like a hot button issue.

Radiohead
^That's because Thom's touring right now and Radiohead are not. There already is a Thom Yorke thread.

Radiohead
I am super excited to see the set list. I still haven't bought a ticket because I want to see what he plays. I hope it approaches 20 songs with some Radiohead staples included. We'll see...

The Beatles
Yeah, I know I'm lucky. I wish everyone got the opportuntity to meet their musical heroes. It's a surreal experience. Anyone who has been able to do so will provide a similar testimonial as mine. When you listen to these peoples' albums countless times, it's amazing to meet them and say a few words. Taking away a small momento (autograph, picture, etc) is cool, too. It may seem trivial, but it means a lot to me.

The Beatles
1. I like the "1" album. The reason I picked it is because it has the cleanest cover. The autograph pops out. I had sgt. Peppers and rubber soul in my bag, but on cd, the covers are too busy. Plus, neither of them were in very good condition. Had I known it was going to happen, I would have picked up something on vinyl. There was a tremendous amount of luck involved in me getting anything at all. 2. I already have abbey road signed on vinyl. He arrived for a rehearsal, told his guys to gather our stuff, and it came back signed. It's a cool item, but makes for a lame story.

The Beatles
Coolest night ever! Just met the one, the only Paul McCartney. He signed my Beatles "1" cd. When I told him it was an honor to meet him, he replied "Alright, man!....Rock N' Roll". To hear that from a Beatle will remain a highlight of my life.

Radiohead
Well, if you're going to the venue, try to get there EARLY. Radiohead always sound check earlier than I expect, and I miss them going on the way in. I am not kidding...12 or 1 p.m. is not too early. Even if you are there a little too early, it's better than being 15 minutes late. I've met Thom 2X after shows while at the venue. He's not the best, but he's not the worst, especially considering his stature. He usually is in a Toyota Prius (environmental), or he will take a van/bus with a bunch of people. When he's in L.A., he often rides with Nigel (who also drives a Prius, at least when he's in L.A.). So if you can track down Nigel, and have an eye on his car, there is a good chance that Thom will exit with him. Keep your ears open for nearby after parties. Often, they will be only a few blocks away from the venue. Finally, if you can figure out the hotel, that is your best bet. I'm not saying knock on his hotel room door. Just wait by the entrance of the hotel. I have met Thom 4X in L.A. this way and, oddly, they are always my best experiences. Why?...because you get away from the mob scene and riff-raff at the venue. The hotel is the only place where I've been able to work in a decent question because there are only a few people and it's relaxed. That's the high points. Of course, I could give you some seedy tips, but I don't want you to risk being arrested. You should do fine just keeping it on the straight and narrow. Good luck and report back!

Radiohead
The questions are good. Now all you gotta do is track him down. Not an easy task, even though he's playing smaller venues than with radiohead. It's very do-able, though. Hit me up if you want any tips. Stalking is my hobby :)

Radiohead
Good luck! Thom always drives (or is driven) in a Prius, so be one the look out. He can be hit or miss, but I've always had good encounters with him. I hope it works out.

Nice. Gotta love those "gimme classes." A quiz on rap? How's that go? How many caps were busted in 50 cents ass? a. 6 b. 7 c. 8 d. 9

What in the world is a rock and roll class? Is that like a video game class?

Blah, Blah, Blah worst song ever!!!
I don't get what's bad about pop music. Music that sucks actually sucks because it sucks, not because it's pop music.

The Smashing Pumpkins
And mayonaise, quiet, and thirty-three are great, too. But probably my favorite smashing pumpkins song is "Drown". Its just a great band. I could go on and on...

Stone Temple Pilots
I would say that their first three albums are better than the greatest hits. That is especially true for "Core". What an album! Scott Weiland, in my opinion, is one of the greatest front men ever. They would've been bigger (not like they weren't big) if Scott wouldn't have derailed them constantly with his drug problems.

Stone Temple Pilots
Had to give a bump to one of my favorite bands of all time. Heard the new song "Between the Lines" on the radio today. STP are definitely one of the best live bands I have ever seen.

Goo Goo Dolls
I don't play guitar, but my friend tells me that they are not easy to learn because Johnny often plays in alternate tunings.
-
Green Day
I'm pretty excited that they've announced some shows. And I love AFI. What a great opener.
- Goo Goo Dolls

The Smashing Pumpkins
I do love me some Smashing Pumpkins. Billy is flat out insane, but Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness are two of my all time favorite albums. A true genius.

Goo Goo Dolls
I am a huge fan. I think they are grossly underrated. I think Johnny Rzeznik has written some of the best pop-rock songs in the last 10 years. True, it's not amazingly deep, and that's ok sometimes. Their music is loaded with hooks and catchy as hell. I'm also a fan of their earlier work. Superstar Car Wash and A Boy Name Goo are flat out kick ass alternative albums. I suggest people take a listen to Ego, Opinion, Art, Commerce in order to get a taste of their early days.

Bands you want to see live/ concert wishlist
Cool. Yeah, it's usually a lasting impression. You listen to their music day after day, and it's amazing to actually meet the person, even if it's fir a brief moment. That's been my experience at least.

Addiction to Radiohead
I don't think Pablo honey sucks. It is not a solid album, but It has some good songs.
