Listening to this really shows the similarities to LCD Soundsystem - All My Friends. I love the synth sound during the end of MX. This isn't really my style of music but you guys did a really good job. The chorus sounded not as full without the guitar riff but that was probably intentional.

Why would they have somebody come into the studio just to do some backup vocals that are barely noticeable and only for a couple of seconds that can easily be done by Will? That was a long sentence but it made sense. Maybe Chris just wanted to meet her and flirt with her. She IS pretty as balls. That's actually a pretty good idea. If you become a famous musician, you can invite pretty girls to sing on your album so you can meet them and possibly bobba them :D

I wonder what makes that part sound so underwhelming as opposed to the live version. Is it just that there is no bass during that part in the studio version?

When Chris sung this live, it was much better. Since Chris is a man, when he sings the chorus it sounds like intense as he has to put more effort into hitting the higher notes than a girl like Rihanna. When Rihanna sings the chorus it just sounds like shes sitting down, just going like, "alright, yeah whatever. Sing Sing Sing" (That's the only way I can put it :P) But when Chris sings it sounds more intense and makes the chorus more epic. I'm not saying Rihanna is lazy or not as good of a singer as Chris. She probably is better than him. I'm just saying, that chorus sounds like it was designed for a guy to sing.
