As you know, I went to Target around 10 and they were gone. Who knew people in Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky were into Coldplay? My guess is that they didn't stock many copies. Because a cd selling out after 2 and hours on a cold Monday morning... what are the odds?

I'm torn on this one. The live version, I can feel more guitar and I die for that part. The studio, I can feel more Xylo and it's freaking amazing. I can't choose. They kinda feel like 2 very very very very very awesome songs

I agree that it's kind of weird that Coldplay.com didn't make an announcement (and we know how much they love sending those newsletters) However. POC is now #13 on the US Itunes and still climbing. It's a definite 3rd single.

Coldplay, Mylo Xyloto * * * (out of four) ROCK Coldplay leader Chris Martin has been of several minds when describing the inspiration for Mylo Xyloto, the band's embraceable fifth album, out today. At times, he has said he took songwriting cues from anti-Nazi movements, totalitarianism and '70s graffiti artists. At other times, he says this is simply a song cycle depicting two young lovers swallowed up in a cold city. Turns out he was being pretty straight: Thematically and musically, Mylo Xyloto does come across as a medium-weight and up-to-date blend of middle-period U2, the Beach Boys' Pet Sounds and Coldplay's last three albums. Co-producer Brian Eno, who oversaw 2008's Grammy-winning Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, returns and adds some faintly exotic Middle Eastern and electro-pop sounds and even a danceable rhythm or two. Martin strikes a lightly defiant tone early on in Hurts Like Heaven when, against a surging beat, he sings, "I struggle with the feeling that my life isn't mine/Tonight the streets are ours/And we're writing and saying/Don't let 'em take control.'' And he warns in Major Minus that "they got one eye watching you … so be careful who it is you're talking to.'' But that's about as deep as the songs probe, politically. The remainder deal with escapism and tormented romance. First single Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall celebrates taking refuge in music, while in second single Paradise, a young woman finds her release by dreaming. Those tracks and Hurts Like Heaven showcase what the band does best: using seductive, soaring melodies as platforms for Martin's earnest vocals (his falsetto is gorgeous here) and swelling keyboards, Jonny Buckland's chiming guitar, and anthemic "whoa oh-oh" choruses. The breakup songs are less engaging, save Princess of China, in which Rihanna, in a heartfelt been-there performance, laments, "Once upon a time we burned bright/Now all we ever seem to do is fight/On and on, and on and on and on.'' Even Drake pushed back his album to Nov. 14th because he knows he is no match to Coldplay. Only very few artists can beat a Coldplay album release. And I can count them in 1 hand.

Billboard will count them as one, so don't worry. That means, Paradise might actually be the 6th ot 7th best selling song on Itunes :dance:

This just shows how unimportant reviews are. Billboard said that UIF was the worst song and this guy said it's the best one. CPers think ETIAW is the worst but E.Weekly said it was the highlight of the album.

I wish I could say the same :cry: I should've been there at 8am. The worst part is I was already up :( Now, I have to wait 2 weeks. I guess it's no big deal!! The good thing is, I already have it on my Ipod and my purchase will be counted towards the 1st week sale.

I went to 2 different Target and "they are gone" I asked one of the worker if they had it in stock. He called the manager and the manager said "They are gone" The cd only was priced for $12.99 and the Exclusive version with the t-shirt for $21.99 Both editions were sold out. I went there around 10:30 (2 and half hours after the store opening)

LOL, the reviews are still not posted 3 hours since it went on sale. My brother just posted on his FB that he is the 1st US reviewer too. He sent his review few minutes ago. I sent mine 3 hours ago. No one will know except Apple folks. As soon as MX went on sale, many tweeted about being the 1st...
