I love this thread and everyone in it! Honestly this album is fantastic and I don't understand all the people giving it low ratings. Every song is a gem.

About that xylophone part... I swear I can quietly hear it in the background in parts of Paradise. It's very faint but I think it's there.

I agree in the fact that it's not an awful song. I'm just really tired of hearing the forum rave about it when it's just not the best thing they've ever done.

Sorry, just stating my opinion. That's what music forums are all about. It's a pretty bland song.

When I hear people on the forum say how unimaginative ETIAW is and how easily anyone of them could've written that song, I think of MTM. I also hate how Chris can almost hardly sing the intro...

Sorry, I was referring to all of the people that said it should've been on the album over Princess of China or whatever. Princess of China is clearly better.

Out of all of the songs released from the LP5/Mylo Xyloto era, this one has been the worst so far. Definitely doesn't fit on the album.

MTM is somewhat bland.

Yeah best song they've ever done. But that's just because it's new.

I think it's a fantastic song. Most people that say they don't like it are probably just butt hurt because it features a pop singer. The melody is fantastic and the lyrics aren't that bad either.

I didn't think you were rude. Your right, everyone does have their opinions. And mine is that MX is their best album.

Coldplay's best album is Mylo Xyloto.

My dad said the exact same thing listening to it!!! (He still likes the song) People may have a problem with it sounding similar, but I never noticed and I don't care, which is all that matters.

I think it's about childhood or being a kid/adolescent or something like that. With the whole Chris's voice sped up and "all the boys, all the girls", and the fact that the song is called "Charlie Brown". That's my take on it.

I was looking at the page for Mylo Xyloto on iTunes, where it says the album has been getting mixed reviews. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mylo_Xyloto Now, I can clearly remember seeing reviews rating this album a 5/5 stars or a 10/10 or a "very favorable" or whatever. But it looked like that all got deleted. Does this seem weird? It seems like people have been changing the reviews section of the page, because I remember it saying that Metacritic rated it 69/100, now it says 59/100. Just wanted to point that out. I mean sometimes you just can't trust Wikipedia.

Charlie Brown Is the best. The other three are fantastic and chances are if you don't like any of them you are a tool and shouldn't be on this forum ;)

Im in. I think everything they've done is 10/10. This is 11/10.
