  1. That was fantastic! I had heard one or two of their songs on XM radio and liked them, but seeing the band on this tour really got me interested and hooked into their music. Thanks for posting!
  2. ^^ greatness!!
  3. Coldplay will always mean the world to me! Think about bands like the Rolling Stones, who just celebrated 50 YEARS as a band. I am not a fan of them, and I personally don't think they sound great, but their true, loyal fans are still NUTS about them. That is exactly how Coldplay will be to me. Luckily, I am the same age as Chris..........so we can grow old together
  4. Also, if you can't get exactly to the floor, make sure to check out the first level sections near the stage. From your venue, it looks like section 102 or 101 would be a good option. The first 3 or 4 rows of those sections usually get a lot of the confetti as well, so make sure you check out those areas as well!
  5. ^Amazing pictures The Concert Man!! Thanks for sharing!! Do you have a professional camera? I'd love to know what kind of camera it is!!!
  6. ^ I, personally, would love it if Charlie Brown never got dropped! What do you think about ETIAW, though? The song works really well live and gets a lot of crowd reaction, so I find it hard to imagine them dropping it. But, given a choice b/t CB or ETIAW.......I will always choose CB
  7. ^ another thing to look for is his watch. One night in Dallas he wore a hot pink watch, the next night it was a bright blue watch. It would be interesting if they edited to have the shirts the same color, but the watches were different :D
  8. Especially if they could make it an acoustic version or at least a somewhat acoustic version!
  9. I would love to see Charlie Brown stay as it's my favorite song on MX! I think that Paradise and ETIAW will become staples for many tours to come. I like ETIAW okay, but it works so much better live!! And, the response from the crowd for the 2 shows I went to was massive. Another favorite of mine is Major Minus, but I don't see that one hanging around next time :(
  10. definitely having withdrawls! I wish I had the time and resources to drop my real life and just follow the band everywhere they go. I am so excited they are filming this tour, I love it when I can watch a live recording of a tour I loved and just be taken back to that moment
  11. I agree wholeheartedly with you!!! I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I adore X&Y.......always have!!!
  12. Not to mention the fact of the scale of this tour. Just the stage setup alone is a larger scale than they've done before. They are shelling out a ton of $$ on the Xylobands. Also, when they toured for Viva, for example - my city - Dallas, they came through once on the first leg, then came back through on what would technically be the 3rd leg, I believe. On this tour, they seem to be hitting some cities back to back, which leads me to believe they won't swing back through.
  13. If you read the series again, the ending makes a little more sense. At first, I felt like she rushed through it (because I knew she was helping with the screenplay). But, upon re-reading (much slower through the second time), I changed my perspective on it a bit!
  14. Just finished Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton. A slow read, but good. Has anyone read Gone Girl? I think that may be my next book!
  15. OUCH!! One of my faves!!! The acoustic version is so haunting to me. The studio version has a part in it that sounds like it could be out of a Smiths song, that just gets to me  It's fascinating how subjective music is to people. It amazes me how one song can be 'heard' in so many different ways. It's really hard for me to pick a least favorite, but maybe Twisted Logic. I like the song okay, I don't skip over it, but I would never just play it because I want to hear that particular song (if that makes any sense).
  16. today it's: Life in Technicolour ii (acoustic version). I've been going through a bunch of acoustic songs on you tube, and that one has stuck with me
  17. Coldplay Muse Phoenix Switchfoot Keane
  18. they have a few more choices at the shows than online. The prices at the show are $40 for Men's and $45 for women. It may end up being a wash though, because by the time you pay shipping, you may end up paying around the same price as you would at the concert.
  19. when you seriously consider creating a bracket system to figure out what your favorite song truly is......I really want to do this!!
  20. if you look in the Dallas & Houston threads, there are pictures that some have taken from behind the stage, so you should be able to get a pretty good idea as to what your vantage point will be!
  21. I go through phases, but lately I have been stuck on the Hardest Part
  22. Nope, you haven't missed anything. The last official tour DVD was Live 2003. I do believe they are/or will be filming this MX tour for a DVD release!!
