Do you ever name inanimate objects?
My orthodontist calls all of my teeth "little guys." As in, "When the lats of these little guys fully grows in, we might put braces in again on your lower mandible to keept those little rowdy guys in line." WTF.

Ban the (total head-covering) burkha??
OH DEAR HE USED THE INVERTED COMMAS HOW SILLY OF ME TO NOT REALIZE THAT. Mark, you are the most intolerant son-of-a-bitch I've met on this forum. I still can't beleive you continue to think burqas should be banned after all of the evidence as to why they SHOULD NOT be banned.

Ban the (total head-covering) burkha??

What I think 42 is about
I thought he said he beleived in Zeus or something, or he didn't know what God was or some such. Like, "I don't know what God is, or if it's Jesus or Mohommad or Zeus. But I'd go with Zeus." And that correction sort of changes the song a little.... 1) Ehh! No, you can definitely write about religion if you aren't religious. He was raised Catholic or something, wasn't he? 2) Also, that's a pretty universal thing -- I mean a lot of people go through that sort of thing that I talked about and stuff. so anyway.

Who's more talented?
Clocks is ridiculously easy to play on piano. It's about nine notes. I can play it and I basically don't know jack squat about piano. The way he plays it live is pretty skilled, tho. And coming up with something as catchy as Clocks is impressive.

Do you ever name inanimate objects?
I named my iPod Frank. I'm curious if others ever give names to non-living things.

Who's more talented?
Careful there, man.

I am better than all of you.
Stop being so uppity; I am far cooler than you. I even set an actual trend today. :D Of wearing hats. It was very svelte.

Who's more talented?
This. Matt can do more cool stuff but Chris can... write more... emotional stuff? sorta?

Interpretation of lyrics
Yeah, that's what I meant. I think that's why they named the X&Y tour after it, too. Twisted Logic is an INSANELY underrated song, both musically and lyrically. :nice:

Interpretation of lyrics
Well it does more so than Violet Hill. Hundreds of years in the future There could be computers Looking for life on earth also: Created then drilled and invaded If somebody made it Someone will mess it up And you are not wrong to Ask, who does this belong to? It belongs to all of us both refer to issues with the environment that Coldplay are so upset about, in my opinion. When they say "it belongs to all of us" I always thought they were talking about the world as a whole. Which, the environment is a pretty current thing. And it's much more specific than Violet Hill.

Ban the (total head-covering) burkha??
Of course it is up to France but that doesn't mean the decision would be morally right. You can't just say "tough" to something like that. This is an actual idealistic issue. If France bans the burqas on a moral level it is just as bad as banning shirts/t-shirts in the Middle East because the moral level does not take into account all the awful religious connotations and so on and so forth. And I would think that the free world would be jumping to take the moral high ground right now.

Interpretation of lyrics
I always thought it was a reflection of angst/frustration about how people ALWAYS react to politics RATHER THAN a specific situation. Whereas, Twisted Logic (particularly the part about being "created, then drilled and invaded" and so on and so forth) relates more to what is going on TODAY specifically. Does anyone get what I'm saying?

Ban the (total head-covering) burkha??
Dude, some people are into that kind of thing and it isn't illegal. You need to think about the burqa as an ARTICLE OF CLOTHING with none of the contexts of Islam attatched to it. YOU have NO right to try to control what women wear whether they wear it because they are "brainwashed" or not. It's a moral issue and if you beleive in freedom of expression you HAVE to let women wear a burqa if they wish. I think wearing burqas is terrible but I have no right to step into what people choose to wear.
