Urgh, I hate it when preachers just talk about themselves... not just in funerals, but whenever. I would hate it if there were any preachers at my funeral. Mainly because I'm not really religious or anything, but also because they never seem to... say the right thing. I've only really been to visitations (not really funerals) but it's really icky when someone the person didn't even know talks about them. ick. :(

Well, not technically. You could get a straight-up mp3-player (what I have - it plays .wmv files too, which is nice, even though almost everything's in .mp3). It just means you can't live with that particular kind of Apple product. Since I already have an mp3 player, I would consider it. Would you butcher a pig for a million dollars?

Don't have one (yet). It would probably be sort of a bitch, and it is only ONE million, so no, probably not. Would you live w/out an iPod for the rest of your life?

Okay, so that's obviously the difference in opinion. Although I do think we could do with more either way of one or the other - being in the middle is sort of giving us the problems of both with the disadvantages of neither. Our government really isn't going about it the right way. China has almost nothing like communism left, with the possible exception of taking little boys and girls with talent in something and training them for whatever they want when they feel like it. Something we don't really do unless you count grants/scholarships - almost none of which are government-given. Bad example. Booo.

^@Erick: this is about inherent, raw processing power. I know dozens of kids who make very good grades in high school even though they don't "get" everything at first -- they work hard and they do well. It's as simple as that. :shrug: (Ian, we really do need a shrugging emote. That would be amazing. Just sayin'.) Brainpower has nothing to do with smartness, much less intellegence. Everyone I know reads Twilight for the Edward-hotness. I tried to slog through it myself to see what all the fuss was about, but once I got to the part where he started sparkling I just said "yeah no this isn't a good book, sorry masses." I did not find it very "addictive;" actually I thought the writing style was sort of dull. All my freinds think I'm a lesbian now or something because I am not attracted to Edward and his vampiresome zomg hawtness. it's a little icky to not like Twilight at my school, actually... I do know one poser boy who read it because he's a poser and he says he likes it (and he's straight, so he doesn't really read it for the Edward-hotness :P), but then again, if I haven't mentioned it he's a bit of a poser, so.

I did say approximately, you know. We do have companies here that are independent from the government. The government is trying to stop the bubbles of viotility by becoming more communist. I said it before: you can't have a really, truly capitalist country AND a government at the same time - the government's job is to try to keep its people safe and happy. No one is going to be safe and happy in a capitalist country. You can't have a truly functioning capitalist country any more than you can have a truly functioning communist country. :/
