i don't think he was being paid per word. :laugh3: but then we don't get paid for writing for the student media here & have to work to a word limit. tho this guy's got helluva BIG word limit from the looks of it...i had to compact my Coldplay gig review to 150 words & it still got edited by my music editor. :P tho he only got to do a phone interview by the looks of it. the student newspaper one got to meet Jonas in person from the sound of her (much shorter) interview. lucky girl. it's a Pokemon that looks like a cat... :P

they've released the answers on the FB page of the Pub Quiz application. tho it looks like they are still tweaking around on what answers they are accepting as the right answers. could've sworn that initially "Ward Park" was flagged as an incorrect answer (cos they wanted just "Ward" as the right answer...which is a bit too strict, imo) then now i think i saw that it's flagged as a correct answer. anywayz, our team is 1pt behind the 2 joint leaders last i saw...but there's like a whole bunch of others who also are just 1pt behind. :P

Damien Rice
i have a friend coming over in Jan next year who's just hoping that he'll be on tour in UK then. somehow i don't think that's going to happen for her...

Hello Malaysia!
i couldn't think of any better English word to use...cos that's literally what we concluded. :P this is what happens when the true Kasabian fans are the ones in the Red Zone & the Mosh Pit is filled with AAR fans. :dozey: anywayz....at least "memalukan" doesn't sound as funny as "Jay Chou's 'An Jing'".

Doctor Who ???......
who's Gavin Henson? & how does Charlotte Church look like again? it's been years since i last heard that name mentioned... :P

Doctor Who ???......
i'm going to Cardiff this Sat'day......& 1st thing i'm gonna look for when i'm there is the spot where the rift is. :P shame David Tennant won't be there shooting for any more Doctor Who episodes anymore. :disappointed:

here's an interview with Jonas done by one of the students at my uni (well, actually 2 students got to interview Jonas...but the other's a student newspaper, so no web link to share) : http://www.intuition-online.co.uk/article.php?id=794 i wanted to quote the article here for ease of reading, but it's a pretty looooooong interview. :P here's a snippet (the intro to the interview itself) :

THANK YOU, JEN!!! i wonder which version they'll play tho...if they do. the album version, or the single version, or a country version? :P & OMG!!! i cannot believe that i actually got that question about who threw the motorbike into the water at the end of Run right!!! :stunned: *faints* & that frigging hard question about the origami suns!!! the answer is just 5!!! (i should've read that trick question more carefully...) :dozey:

Kasabian
thanks guys. but Anna, your Cologne shots were way better despite the smaller stage, imo. ;) & i agree, that frame design for the stage is quite cool. & it's cooler when Tom jumps out from "behind" the frame during Julie & the Moth Man. seems like he's jumping out from a painting. tho it's a shame they mostly stay behind that frame most of the concert. there's a whole other half of the stage unused. squareone13 : there was another bromance shot i took that looked even more bromance-y...but it was all blurry. :(
-
Kasabian
& here's some of the better shots i managed to take : nothing special here...i just thought it was interesting that they were screening all these random info about lunatics/asylums just before the band came on Wembley Arena's an asylum for the wk/end, so the roadies get to be the medical staff... :P gotta love Tom & his rock star poses the moment he comes on...they opened with Julie & The Mothman at Wembley. great choice to get the mood going (it was my 1st time hearing it...but it rocks big time with Chris' bass thumping away!!!) :D & is it just my poor eyesight or does Ian's drum read "The Luna Boys"? (failed) attempt at a Tom & Serge bromance shot... ;) Noel Fielding in the house...kicking out Vlad goodies to the pit people! someone near me commented that when the confetti blasted out, it looked like Christmas... :D

Hello Malaysia!
they probably overheard the MTV VJs announcing to the crowd who were still there after All-American Rejects finished to move more to the front & fill up the empty space, especially at the mosh pit area... :P my friend & me were discussing about that announcement...we thought it'd be real awkward & 'memalukan' & disappointing for the headline act if they were just behind the stage & had to hear that. & to know that the "bizarre American band" before them is more popular with the Malaysian crowd. :dozey: i think they are going back to Aussie next year...since they didn't really do any gigs in Aussie earlier this year aside from getting quarantined.
-
Kasabian
yeah, but nothing fantastic...will upload them shortly. i was much closer to the stage at MTV World Stage than for Wembley Arena. :disappointed: & i note that Tom has cut his hair yet again. i kinda prefer his Inglorious Basterds style better, but this still beats that long hair Kurt Cobain style he had earlier. :P

Hello Malaysia!
you know that you still have to take a driving test to be able to drive in the States, right? cos they just HAD to be different & drive on the other side of the road... :P & i think you will go to a lot more concerts once you're in the States...i've only been in UK since Sep & i've already got 3 gigs notcheds + 1 more on Friday. this is OT, + i've posted on the Kasabian thread, but just cos i was laughing away (alone in my seat at Wembley Arena) when i saw it....Kasabian mentions Malaysia in their tour program!!! :D & it goes something like this : :dozey: :dozey: :dozey:

Kasabian
after experiencing watching Kasabian play live 2x in different locations/settings/countries - 1 seated & 1 standing, i have to say that the pit's where it's at to have a fun time at a Kasabian gig....preferably with friends. :D i found myself in a rather unusual position of having a rather older crowd around me (1 guy behind me was old enough to be my grandfather!) & there was a family (mum, dad + real young kid) in front of me. at one point i was kinda worried i'd be the only loon in the "asylum" standing, dancing & singing when Kasabian came on...which thankfully was not the case! *phew* but i do also think that Kasabian does seem to attract some of the rougher fans as i could clearly see a number of instances where groups of guys were pushing each other around in the middle of the pit...which from experience tends to spoil the mood for the rest who aren't into the whole pushing mates around thing (what in the world is the point of it even???). & i am dead chuffed to find that Malaysia was mentioned in their tour program...tho i found the comment about Malaysia incredibly hilarious & i was laughing away in my seat. loved the whole "lunatic asylum" theme at Wembley Arena & all the roadies + the DJ were all wearing lab coats with the guy playing trumpets for certain tracks playing in asylum-issue jammies too. tho the stage seemed kinda massive, given that the band were mostly playing on the inner half of the stage behind a giant video frame setup. & after all the whispers among the crowd that Noel Gallagher was going to make a surprise appearance, Noel did appear...but it was Noel Fielding of the Mighty Boosh in full Vlad get-up complete with impaling stick!!! now THAT was a great surprise!!! :D the blue/red/silver confetti closer at the end of L.S.F. was mesmerising...tho not special, after Coldplay's confetti butterflies. more memorable was the entire Wembley Arena crowd singing the L.S.F. chant as we left & even all the way to the tube station & then even on the train towards Baker Street station!!! :D :D :D & bloody hell!!! Fast Fuse & Stuntman live are fucking (sorry, affected by all the expletives used throughout the gig) awesome!!! i SO SO SO love those songs even more now!!!
