    A Message, then Politik.
  2. Since I am too lazy to type out the strumming pattern, I'd say flow with it. That is, if you are good with rhythm. If not, then I'd teach myself how to stay in rhythm. After all, that is a must when playing Coldplay.
  3. I noticed that! I went ahead and bought the Shiver and Yellow EP. :p
  4. You're not alone, but honestly, I wasn't expecting it to be release before 2010 was over. It'd be nice to have that happen, but I'd rather wait for something spectacular, then something that's rushed. Anyways, does this mean the solar system idea was scrapped? I really hope not, because that sounded like a good idea. :( But...I really enjoyed the new blog entry! It, yet again, gives me hope that LP5 will be their best release yet. :D I just wish we could see the songs on the walls.
  5. This is a good song! They picked a good band to be an influence. ;)
  6. As much as I want to vote for Chris, I have to vote for Bob Dylan. He's quite possibly the greatest poet of the last century.
  7. OH RAINY DAY COME 'ROUND. SOMETIMES I JUST WANT IT TO SLOW DOWN. (This is fun! :p)
  8. I used to dislike Viva La Vida after I heard their older stuff, but I came to the realization of how creative and unique it was. Though, I want Coldplay to take their time releasing LP5. I'd like a well-put together release rather than a rushed one. February 2011 sounds good. ;) That would be a great combination, actually.
  9. IT WAS A LONG AND DARK DECEMBER, FROM THE ROOFTOPS I REMEMBER, THERE WAS SNOW. WHITE SNOW.
  10. Yeah, I ordered my VLV shirt from the store in November 09, and it didn't arrive until February. Luckily though, I ordered it from eBay. It was supposed to take 4 - 7 days, but after USPS kept screwing up the shipment, it was sent back to Georgia and then re-sent. So, all-in-all, about three weeks. Lol. Looks like I was in a hurry.
  11. Well, one of my friends (who also enjoys Coldplay) asked me one day if I listen to anything but Coldplay. Obviously, I do, but they are the main band I listen to. Whether it be the style of music or something else, I sincerely enjoy Coldplay more than any other band I have ever listened to. Now, the things that make me feel like a Coldplay nerd (which isn't a bad thing, right? :p) are the following: 1) As of recently, I try to find any Coldplay CD that I can possidbly find. For instance, I own four copies of Viva La Vida. The main release, the Prospekt's March/VLV CD, the vinyl and the CD that came with the vinyl. 2) I tend to want to learn their music the most, next to worship songs, on guitar. I can't help the fact the music is so irresistible to play. 3) I am trying to collect every vinyl of theirs. So far, I have AROBTTH and VLV, and am trying to find Parachutes and X&Y. (I did see Parachutes one time, but didn't buy it. :/)
  12. Heh, that or I Bloom Blaum. :p
  13. After multiple USPS screw-ups and the long shipping, I finally received Coldplay: The Singles and B-Sides music book! From what I've realized, this book has every B-Side and single from the beginning to X&Y. So many songs to choose from to learn! Maybe Shiver or How You See the World, first?
  14. :laugh3:
  15. I changed the title of the thread. :) For the record, I am aware that they aren't going to re-do a AROBTTH or Parachutes (as no good band should), but I guess I want something more acoustic than anything. Viva La Vida was great, but it was a very different style for Coldplay. Of course, I am always open to everything they produce, so...
  16. Don't get me wrong, Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends is a fantastic album, but after listening to all their older albums, this one just seemed so different. I know Chris talked about it being different, but since Brian Eno was the one who produced it, and helped them create the "VLV sound", could it be a good thing he won't have such a big impact on LP5? I sincerely miss the days of AROBTTH and even X&Y, but I also enjoy Viva La Vida and what it had to offer. It was unique and very Coldplay-ish. So, I guess I'm trying to say this: are you happy Coldplay may be going back to the acoustic feel? Or, would you rather want another release like VLV?
  17. This video is STILL freaking awesome. iTunes produced its best commercial with this one. On topic, I think my favorite video from the VLV-era was either Violet Hill, Lovers in Japan or Strawberry Swing. I do still love LiTii's video, too. ;)
  18. I believe both "Fix You" and most definitely, "A Message" is about God. :)
  19. It's cool to hate Coldplay. I really, really hate that.
  20. Which is why I like them even more. Musically, I don't listen to the popular crap. Coldplay is real music. Pop is not.
  21. Argh. I hate when people say this. Instead of actually listening to the music, they listen to the speed of the song. "It's slow, so they suck." is the main excuse my friends hate them. I think just because all their famous songs are slow, everyone automatically assumes all of the songs are like that. Luckily, I have a friend who loves Coldplay almost as much as I do. About three of my friends actually really enjoy them, and know more songs than "Viva La Vida".
