Very high, which is something I couldn't say about Mylo Xyloto. All of my concerns vanished at the iTunes Festival, because the new new stuff we got is just incredible. (But especially Always In My Head.)

That's American Idol, not The Voice. Two very different shows.

Loving this half of the season, but damn was this week soul-crushing. And amazing. But mainly soul-crushing. I knew Lizzie/Mika would be the show's version of Ben/Billy, but still, it stunned me severely at how it was handled. Gotta love when Tyreese forgave Carol, because that could have gone many different ways. Terrific episode. One of the best of the show.

I'm all for people for not being happy with it (I'm not thrilled about it!), but there are some people that are completely overreacting to the news. If everyone else can say what they want, why can't I?

Yeah, exactly. The amount of whining going on is hilarious. No, they aren't sellouts, and no this isn't an unjustifiable move. Do you really think the band themselves were like, "Hey guys, let's announce it in People magazine!" Of course not. Their record label has control over that sort of thing. Ugh. Anyways, I love the new title tracks. All My Friends sounds like a good song (loving the gun next to it), as does Ghost Story and O, Part II.

How in God's name do you jump to that conclusion?

Same here. My second favorite song behind AROBTTH. So great.

wat X&Y is still my favorite album, and Shiver is a great song.

People need to calm the fuck down. My Twitter exploded today, and I'm not sure why. I'm not thrilled about the news, but you know what, good for Chris. As many have pointed out, Chris isn't doing this for the money, but for the fact he loves music. And yet, here we are, mindlessly bitching about his decision? Yikes. Besides, what Chris is doing will be on air for three episodes. He's not a judge. He's a helper for three weeks, already filmed. It's going to be okay guys. My favorite thing today, however, were some of my Twitter friends complaining, "Coldplay hasn't been genuine since Viva, and this is proof of it!" all morning. Both annoying and hilarious at the same time.

Username makes me suspicious, but yeah, it will be Midnight. I can't wait to have a non-YouTube copy of the song in my collection. :dazzled:

Haven't listened to the full album just yet, but I absolutely love Pseudologia Fantastica. Such a nice step up from Coming of Age.

Yeah, exactly. The amount of negativity thus far is astounding. It has just now been twenty four hours since we heard two songs, and people are acting like they've heard the entire album. Be patient, folks.

I, for one, am completely amazed at the negative reaction to the new songs premiered last night. I was switching between the stream and Twitter, and the immediate reception was overwhelmingly positive. Both songs, but especially Always In My Head were very reminiscent of their older material, and I fell in love on both first listens. To come here and see so many people disliking them honestly surprised me. Everyone is entitled to their opinion obviously, and I respect that. But, it seems silly to me that after asking for ages and ages for 'old Coldplay' to come back, and we get that, people still complain. I don't get it, but that's the fun in all this. We're getting to experience a new album/era, and this is just a natural stage of the process.

It does for me too! I blame the sexual lyrics, and the amazing guitar. Fuck, Jonny's part was so great.

I'm surprised not as many people like this. I fell in love right when it started. Nice lyrics, beautiful instrumental and an appropriate album opener. Not to mention that it sounds exactly like something from AROBTTH. 10/10, and I'm not exaggerating.
