  1. I have a feeling we'll be getting more AROBTTH songs this time around. (I really hope I'm right.)
  2. Jon Hopkins confirmed it over Twitter, so it's true. So happy he's back with the band!
  3. I'm inclined to agree, Macky. It's not uncommon to release three new tracks, because Target has been doing this for quite some time. Looking forward to it!
  4. One thing I've noticed amidst the excitement of Ghost Stories is the complaining of the album's length. It seems a lot of people have forgotten that VLV had only ten tracks, and it was an absolutely great album. Plenty of bands release short albums, because after all, quality > quantity. Hell, Radiohead released King of Limbs in 2011 with eight songs, and that was a fantastic album. To answer your question, I sincerely doubt Coldplay would release an extension of a main album. An EP is somewhat likely, but they don't necessarily repeat themselves.
  5. I quite like it. I listened to about ten seconds of the iTunes preview and initially thought, "Well. This is different." Despite the fact I think Midnight is a great song, musically and lyrically, I seemed to connect quicker with Magic. I think we can all agree the lyrics are pretty bad, even for Chris, but luckily the music saves it for me. It's not a perfect song, but two songs in, we can already tell this is loads better than Mylo Xyloto so far. I'm still anxious for Ghost Stories, and carry a really great feeling for the album itself. Should be a good one. 8/10
  6. I think I saw about 25 minutes of the entire episode last night.   Fucking livestreams, man. Does anyone else love this half of the season more than the first half? It's seriously all great this season.
  7. You were right on. Congratulations, you psychic.
  8. I say this in every thread, but A Rush of Blood to the Head needs to return this time around. Please, Coldplay. Even just once. I could see it fitting in with the sort of sound Ghost Stories has to offer, so please, please, please Coldplay? Also, A Message.

I have legitimately listened to this non-stop since I bought it. Really, really, really enjoying this. Something about it is so soothing.

Oh God, these lyrics. Lol. Still make me laugh. Anyways, I really love Magic. Took a listen or two, but it's so goddamn good.
  11. I'm excited, solely because each album closer has been fantastic.
  12. This shit is unreal, man. Such a casual sort of announcement, but managed to make everyone go, "What the fuck?" over and over.
  13. getithom replied to Telepian's topic in Coldplay
    Agreed.
  14. We need to accept that Coldplay will not return to their roots. In small ways, they might, but not for an entire album. They keep going forward, as they should.

That killed me, oh Lord. Whoever wrote this doesn't even realize how bad this is.
  16. What's the name of the user who, in years past, accurately predicted when we'd receive information on Coldplay news? He only posts on rare occasion, but has never been wrong.
  17. I noticed their Life in Technicolor ii post(s) and thought it was a nice little jab. But all this is really interesting. If they post another lyric that relates to waiting for something, I'll be completely convinced they're hinting. Let's hope.
  18. Well, it's complicated, but can be summed in two things: 1) I'm a big ol' dick. I always think I'm past it, but then I go and be an asshole again. Why. 2) After two weeks in my home city, I fly back to St. Louis again and get to feel all the incredible feelings of below zero weather, loneliness, and a shitty job and poor finances. Yay!
  19. I had a Coldplay dream for the first time since becoming a fan in 2008. It was weird, but felt so real. I was checking Coldplaying, and noticed a new thread about LP6 being semi-confirmed. The cover art was a redo of AROBTTH artwork, but with black and gold lettering. The track listing was on the front, and there were about five or six songs. Two were 'old' songs (that I doubt are actual songs), but the rest were all new. 'Home' and 'Take Me Home'/'Take Me Away' were the two I remember, and people fucking lost their shit. (Turns out it was an EP, rather than an album.) "Does this mean Coldplay is going back to its A Rush of Blood days?!" were the general comments here, and I was like, "No shit, Sherlock. It's the same art style." The band teased us for releasing the EP within a week. But, I woke up. It felt so real, man.
  20. I have terrific news: my mother is addicted to Breaking Bad! While home on my break, I started showing her the show and she is in love. :dazzled:
  21. Did they play the MX tour version of GPASUYF, or the 'regular' version?
