Kaleidoscope EP
I'm DundahMifflin. The place has indeed been around since 2008, but when I got on board in 2012, there were only 65 subscribers. It was pretty much a ghost town. Ever since then it's been on the up and up!

Howdy! Shameless plug, but I'm one of the "original" mods on /r/coldplay along with several others who have really made the place the joy it is today. Seriously, they've done a wonderful job running it. It's been nearly five years and it still makes me happy seeing people talk about it on Coldplaying. I'm really glad you enjoy it!

Kaleidoscope EP
Those were the days. Up until late 2013, this place was poppin af. The leadup to MX over the summer of 2011 will forever be one of my favorite memories both online and off. But for those who joined in the past couple of years, the change in tone here has nothing to do with the band itself, but more the change of ownership. The site was offline for a couple of months which of course drove away lots and lots of people. It'd be nice to see this place close to what it once was in the sense of community, but it's also nice just to see the place always active too, you know? Had this EP been announced in 2012, I bet it'd already be at 100 pages, lol.

Which song do you have stuck in your head right now?
Electric Relaxation - Tribe Called Quest

Happy Birthday, AHFOD! A year later and I still love it.

Chris has said this about every album since X&Y.

Agreed. I think you made me realize just why I can't enjoy Viva as much as some people. There's no denying the creativity on that album was spectacular, but the production sounds very muddled and hazy. With the separate songs, it works great, but within the album as a whole, it's very offputting for me personally. I do wonder who they have producing for Kaleidoscope, though. It's definitely seeming to be disassociated with AHFOD, so I don't see them going back to Stargate.

Awesome! I have a really great feeling about this EP. I also hope this means the setlist for 2017 grows like it did for the post-PM Viva concerts. It'd be cool if they even changed the final song like they did with LiTii. Coldplay. <3

I see what you're saying, but I disagree. PM were just songs leftover from Viva. The only thing similar PM has with MX is the fact Eno helped out. Otherwise, those two sounds are polar opposites. Yeah, Ghost Story is very, very, very different from anything they've done the past five years. All I'm going to guess is that the songs are most likely AHFOD-era tracks that have either been reworked or constantly updated. The EP's never give us a good guess of their next sound, but their standalone movie tracks somehow do, lol.

Kaleidoscope EP
Just wanna point out this was back in August. If it is indeed a real song, three months is plenty of time to work on something. And, too, R#42 has been teasing them playing a few new songs during soundcheck for a few months now.

Anyone remember that soundcheck from the LA shows earlier this year? One of the songs they were playing was definitely a new song. All I remember is it seemed drum heavy. Hopefully it makes it onto the EP!

I'm sorry, but I don't know what you're trying to get at here. I'm not seeing the connection to alternative music with the word 'kaleidoscope'. I want that sort of sound too, but it's a word that can be attached to many things.

So happy for this! I wish he'd asked when it was coming, but I would have to guess pretty soon with the tour starting back up. I wouldn't be surprised if they gave it out at shows like with LRLRL.

Me when I get tickets on Saturday: Can't wait to go back to Chicago!

North American Leg 2017
So psyched for this! I really didn't expect them to hit Missouri a second time, so this is music to my ears. My plan right now is to go to Kansas City then immediately head for Chicago and see them then, too. I'll take a nice vacation from work and spend it with friends and Coldplay.

Radiohead
For me: 1. The Bends 2. OK Computer 3. Hail to the Thief 4. Amnesiac 5. In Rainbows 6. Kid A 7. A Moon Shaped Pool (I wanted to like it more than I do, but I just can't.) 8. King of Limbs 9. Pablo Honey

Apparently no one here lives near Pheonix, lol. I wonder if that 'new tune' R42 teased will be played tonight?

I looooooove this. So much. It captures the energy of this tour so incredibly well. I was quite literally falling asleep in bed when I got the alert, and now I'm 100% in my Coldplay mood. I cannot stress enough how much I love the Charlie Chaplin intro being a part of the single edit. Ya boy is gonna get a rip of the audio and listen to this version forever and ever. I love this band so much. Also, if anyone is willing to take me back to my concert last month, or maybe like buy my tickets and airfare for a future show or three, I would appreciate it.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Yeah, Atlas Project tweeted the audio where Chris talked about the new song(s) (as he put it, "a few new songs") and the app. There's a lot of buzz on Twitter about it, but not here for some reason. I guess we'll find out what it's about sometime in the next year!

Army of One
It's hard to believe the album is eight months old already, but Army of One has slowly been rising as one of my absolute favorites off the album. If it exists, I'd love to hear an extended version because the instrumentation is legitimately solid and the song itself is just too short. Will's drumming is also very stellar. And I love the use of organ!

Holy shit, they did Let Down? That's incredible.
