  1. jfc this tour's setlist is incredible so far. I can't get my head around the fact it wasn't requested and they did it just because.
  2. Looks like The Hardest Part was the requested song. I'm loving the new version of GPASUYF!
  3. I don't write songs, but I do write stories and articles. So, the outcome is different, but the steps are usually the same. When I deal with writer's block, it's almost for one of two reasons: I'll make excuses that I "don't have the time" to write based off of fear that I won't be happy with what I'll write, or my brain is too focused on something to start back writing from where I left off. Both of these are nothing short of excuses, even if I don't realize that at the time, which cripples the writing process in the long run. So, let's say I'm stuck writing a transition in my story; I know what I want but I'm not sure how to get there. Instead of trying to write the transition, I'll switch to another medium to get the creativity flowing again. In this case, I quite literally always switch to blogging. For some reason that clears my head with all my worries and focuses on nothing more than writing with feeling. I make it a point to write narrative-based blog posts and ones that, in a different format, still represent my style of writing. When it comes to things like essays, articles, pieces, etc. I keep getting stuck on, I'll usually switch to writing my story again, or even just adding even just adding notes of things I'd like to see. Again, I'm not sure exactly what it is, but switching to another format almost always cures my writers block. If I were you, try doing something similar with your music. Instead of sitting and thinking of a million ways to get past the part you're stuck on, maybe listen to music that inspires you, do your best at goofing around on instruments to make something, or maybe even try writing other things to get everything flowing smoothly again. Good luck!
  4. I think it's inevitable they'll start pulling up stuff like See You Soon and Amsterdam, but I bet they're waiting for the right time. I wouldn't be surprised if they start doing Amsterdam in Chicago when they tried it last time! I think I'm still going to request A Rush of Blood to the Head, but since they're using the C-stage, I don't think it's gonna happen. :-/
  5. I noticed that as well. I plan on going for GA tickets if I can get them in time. Any tips for GA seats? If you can make it, let me know! I'm hoping we can at least get a few people from Coldplaying to meetup at the concert!
  6. ...are you kidding me. If this is indeed real and they play A Message...omg.
  7. I'm really, really liking how much more flexible they're being with this tour. I remember the days where they would change out a song every few months, and now here they are doing it every night. It's what we've wanted this entire time!
  8. My first show was up high-ish and to the left of the stage. If I were a level lower, the view would've been amazing. The best seats, as far as I'm concerned, are at angles instead of directly viewing the stage straight ahead of you. Aim for floor seats that sit far enough way to where you can easily see the arena around you if that makes sense.
  9. Amen. I feel comfortable saying it's my third-favorite Coldplay album.
  10. I've been wanting them to come to STL since I moved here a few years ago. This is a dream come true. They haven't played here since 2009!
  11. I'm going to cry. :') When I saw that tweet I got way too happy. Yes! :omgomg:
  12. It is Coldplaying after all. ;)
  13. I'm not sure which show you're going to, but what helped me when I saw in them in 2012 was to stop following the concerts for like the month/few weeks leading up to your show. I practically memorized the setlists from 2011 to early-2012 then abruptly stopped when they started their US tour.
  14. Yep. If you go back and look at setlists from last decade, you'll see it's always the same. It's one of my few complaints about their live act.
  15. I said the same thing about ETIAW during the MX tour. I hated having that as the concert closer and pretty much disregarded it until I heard the song live. I personally think Up&Up is a perfect song to close the song/concert with, but I can understand why something more high-energy might also work.
  16. Wow this ASFOS outro is pretty as hell.
  17. Yo! Til Kingdom Come, and Ring of Fire and Don't Panic?
  18. Most likely, but that's pretty normal for them to do. They covered Billie Jean for like most of the Viva tour and it fit very well.
  19. I guess what I mean is that those are songs more likely to be requested, you know? Besides, this setlist has a long ways to go! (I do hope they change it up more than past tours.)
  20. Half the songs you listed are songs they rarely play anyways; Trouble, Don't Panic. Speed of Sound, Talk and Lovers in Japan are songs that we're lucky to hear even once (especially Talk).
  21. I know, right? This makes my 2012 concert pale in comparison. It has some things I'd change, but this is literally the first show of the tour. Give it time guys.
