Not really. The bigger PC games - Battlefield 3, MW3, Crysis, etc. - don't run on Mac. Mac's aren't built for gaming but will still do good on most.

For me, it's always been a personal thing. I can never bring myself to buy something like a game or movie digital-only because I would much rather have something more than a mass-produced digital copy. The same applies with the music I especially like.
