sales wise radiohead does not compete anymore with coldplay or u2 . They are not the big sellers they once used to be. Actually , they never where the kind of massive sellers u2 and Coldplay are . On the other hand , they are always critically aclaimed , lots more than Coldplay for example

meh , i think it would be interesting to see them released the same week :P like , who is gonna get that number one :P But its more likely for coldplay to win :D , first of all , although u2 are still massive sellers , they are not longer what they used to be ( They still outsell any pop act :D) . but given that first week sales for viva and X&Y were BOTH by far bigger than u2's album in both the US and UK ( viva and X&Y sold 700k+ first week in the us alone and 300k in UK . ) and u2 were like 400k for NLOTH and HTDAAB in usa Ima go with coldplay :P plus i bet as always coldplay will have afirst hit single of their album

I want them to take further the exploration they were doing with Viva la vida and just to have fun with the music. To not try to hard , and to not let the pressures make them go in one direction or another. i want experimental coldplay , i want them to keep developing their own sound dont want them trying to copy other bands or doing heavy metal or doing rap with kanye and jay :\ I want upbeat songs in the next album , wierd instruments and wierd and happy sounds , such as LIT II or straw or viva or lost . But i would also like some guitarr songs such as violet hill and a piano driven ballad , just for the nostalgia you know :wink3:

i think they make a mistake with timing. Imagine them announcing that there is a new christmas single coming out next Wednesday and that they were going to be a part of the video . Plus that they were hearing it first. Personally i think people on that boat would have come much more excited. And then the next day , maybe doing a proper announcment of the song , saying what it is and when it's released .

I must say that i feel a little bit dissapointed with what i've heard ( didnt go). I thought that they were giving them signed cds , and that they were going to meet coldplay members and all . but GUESS WHAT ? its all our fault :smug: I mean just read the title and what they said . They never promised us with gifts (signed cds etc) they never said the band was going to be on the boat , or that they were doing a special gig , or whatever you imagined :angry: okey , so yes , they didnt do the Q&A :rolleyes: but im sure it was a last minute thing and they didnt want that to happen. im like : should they have stopped the video shooting so that phil and roadies go to the boat to talk to you :confused: while them were waiting ? if u look it from other perspective , not only you got the chance to go to a boat ride over the thames ( which i would love to do some day :( ) not only that , but you got the chance to hear Coldplay's next single before than all the people ( take not that 100 coldplayers + 10 people more know the song right now :D you should feel special :) ) but you also got the chance to be on a COLDPLAY VIDEO :wink3: so , i think that coldplayers got their hopes and aspirations to high to this trip , and PROBABLY Coldplay.com announcing the new christmas single yesterday didnt help either. Imagine that you went to the boat trip , and they announced that they were releasing a new single next week and that you were in the video ( they announce it on the boat ) and then coldplay.com confirming that the next day. YOU WOULD HAVE GONE CRAZY !

mmm , no i dont think so . I think Christmas light its to get in the holiday spirit and its a christmas song that has nothing to do with LP5. The same way that previous bands and artist release christmas songs separately from their studio albums ( for example the killers releasing a christmas song each year ).
