I bet you guys would've react the same if Coldplay had released Lovers in Japan as 1st single on VLVADAAHF era...just give them a chance =)

This is EXACTLY what I think of ETIAW (from popdust.com) >> "Truth told, the compact swell of “Every Teardrop” doesn’t even sound so much like a comeback single as it does a concert opener, something to announce the band’s presence before delving into the real hits."

I think Coldplay just wanna tell us with this song "Ok, this is when VLVADAOHF finish and a new era begin" 'cause I must say ETIAW doesn't fit any description we've read all this time. And I guees they were looking for something fresh to hold this upcoming shows and ETIAW play his role.

What an interesting thought...we'll have to wait for more info about it =)

I know exactly how some people feels about being dissapointed with this new single. It has happened to me before with another bands which I'm not a huge fan but still keep an eye on them. But ... c'mon !!! It's like a new beginning, a happy new beginning, and I love the way how guys remake this song. And I also admire them 'cause you have to be brave to release something totally different...but it's a real good song. Can't wait for more !!!!

Definitely I have a new dream already: Being on a top secret Coldplay gig before they release a new single / headline new shows. Unfortunately, I'm so far away of them ... but if it's true they were inspired by Nazca culture in this album, maybe we're more connected than I thought in first place !!!!! Can't wait for the new single !!!! P.S: BTW, here in Perú we're gonna have a LIVE STREAMING of Coldplay performing at Glastonbury this year in a cinema ... I'm pretty excited about it !!!!!!!!!:D

Judging by the titles is just kinda wrong cuz you don't how they will sound...it's like a book with its cover...c'mon, I have good vibes with this 5th album, just we have to wait. BTW, even after Dec 1st, when we'll finally listen Xmas Lights, it will be too soon to talk about LP5 sound...just because it's a xmas jingle and has a different style. Well, that's my honest opinion =)

Its gives you a reference, an image we can associate music with, and, sometimes, it can be the first clue that will reveal us the whole concept of the album (like VLV)...it's exciting to know what Coldplay is going to show us this time with LP5
