  1. Very frustrating, I still need two tickets for my friends and when I read Livenations tweet I immediately went to the site and was able to get two. But the frustrating part of whole this that at the moment I'm at school and do not have my iDeal thingy whith me, so I couldn't pay. And now they're, once again, sold out. :dozey:
  2. Well, Coldplay isn't a band of many setlist surprises. When there is a final setlist it usually stays that way during the whole tour. Sometimes they replace a song or two, but big changes almost never happen.
  3. I was told by an insider that Coldplay will be playing the Amsterdam Arena stadium, probably in june 2012. This news 'leaked' to him just this week. He said it was reliable.
  4. Damn, should've read this earlier. Still looking for 2 arena tickets for my friends..
  5. Had the same discussion. I also think Paradise doesn't belong in the top 100 (not even in the whole list, it's out for 2 months now?!). Same with Adele's Someone Like You on spot 6. Great song, absolutely, but out for what is it? A year or so? It's way to early to decide that this is the 6th best song of ALL time. It belongs in the top 10 on 2011. Not more, not less. I forgot Lovers In Japan on #900. Added it. Tnx @LoversInJapan!
  6. The last 2 years I voted myself crazy and I liked the thought that so many Coldplay songs made it because of my intensive voting, haha. This year I only voted once and voted on 2 Coldplay songs only. So it's good to know that other Dutchies also massively voted on them! :)
  7. Updated the opening post with the ranking of the songs over the years. As you can see, 2009 and 2011 are very Coldplay friendly years! Quite bizarre that songs as Yellow and Trouble never made it until this year!
  8. Every year around Christmas and New Year the Dutch radio station Radio 2 has a marathon broadcast, named 'Top 2000 songs of all time'. It's probably the biggest radio event in Holland (after 3FM's Serious Request). Today the final list became public and Coldplay has broke their record with 15 songs in the list. Highest placed is Clocks on #8, followed by Viva on #9. Paradise also made it in to the top 100, which is remarkable. It's also remarkable that so many Coldplay songs have made the list, until 2009 only Clocks and Speed Of Sound managed to get a spot and after that some adds thanks to VLVADAAHF. Coldplay made the list with.. 8. Clocks 9. Viva La Vida 39. The Scientist 69. Fix You 74. Paradise 190. Yellow 258. Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall 381. Trouble 591. Speed Of Sound 658. Lost! 701. Talk 767. Violet Hill 810. The Hardest Part 884. Life In Technicolor ii 900. Lovers In Japan Traditionally Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody is ranked #1, followed by Hotel California and Child In Time. The complete list is here! This is Coldplay over the years in the Top 2000 (first time was in 1999). 8. Clocks First appearance in 2003. 9. Wow, great find. Happy for Princess Of China to be a single too (well, it wasn't unexpected of course).
  10. One year gone already. I remember just where I was when I first heard it. Loved it immediately. And again, it brings me in the holiday spirit!
  11. This! Haha, we'll just wait and see!
  12. Let me change it. Tonight I finally was allowed to drive my mothers Audi TT (she never allows, 'you have your own car, blabla') and 5 minutes under way: CHARLIE BROWN was on the radio!
  13. It's everywhere. Heard it 3 times in 2 days on different radio stations in Holland here! Yay!
  14. I wanna know too, but I'm keeping in mind how awesome it is if I don't expect a song and they play it. My previous 2 Coldplay concerts I knew EXACTLY what was gonna happen. It will be hard to stay away from the setlist though, so lets hope it's worth it.
  15. Received the newsletter. Can't wait for a new album, thank god they're recording!
  16. Thank god they're rehearsing, I'm dying to hear new songs live. I'll try to keep away from the setlist until the concert in Rotterdam 17th december. This time, unlike the other times, I want it to be a surprise.
  17. Haha, 3FM almost played the whole album in October.
  18. Haha, thanks for that. But I think this makes it a kind of official. It wouldn't be the first time that 3FM is one of the first ones to air it, even before it's officially released as single.
  19. Charlie Brown was just played at Dutch radio 3FM. It was a radio edit and announced as the 3rd single. I made the above screenshot. Translation: 'The third single of the fifth album Mylo Xyloto is named after the dorky comic figure Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz. The emotional load of the lyrics covered in light and typical Coldplay sound. It maybe resembles the comical versus sad life of 'Charlie Brown'.' Not my best translation, I did my best :p.
  20. Chris Martin, Bono and Princess Maxima in one pic. Unique.
  21. Haha, I know. Definitely will visit the Glass House this year in Leiden!
  22. Well, the first time they have something in the SR auction that has my attention.
  23. Well, I had to vote Werchter, but simply because I was there and I was even more mind blown than when I watched Glasto the week before on tv. But I guess that's something actually being there does to you. Of the festival shows I (re-)watched Glasto, Rio and Rock Am Ring were pretty amazing too.
