If this is the case, that you all think that they're not doing this for mainstream with bringing in Rhianna, collaborating with other pop musicians and using catchy simple lyrics then that means that they really are dumb. I thought they were just playing dumb to be popular because I feel like they might think that because they want some kind of respect in future years. It was the only thing that made me feel like they'd come back.. that they're just making the last album for this label to be done with it. :(

People who are defending Paradise for the same reason; that they evolve and we're not supporting them. Give us a break, we came from another entrance, a soft rock/alternative rock to synth pop with some guitar thrown in there. It's a little hard to keep liking them now that they make music that we do not like because we came listening to something else. Coldplay is a band that makes a certain music that we like and we want to hear more. This doesn't sound like them. If you took Chris' vocals I wouldn't have known it was them at all. It's like you had a friend who used to like Radiohead and the Flaming Lips and then they just started liking Rhianna and Beyonce. They could still be nice people but now we have nothing in common and there nothing to talk about and that was the end of it, I miss my old friend Coldplay but now they are gone. I think I'm making this too dramatic but eh.

I agree. Now I can't say that I'm true because I don't know their private life that well.. or at all but just face it Gwyntards. She's rich and has richity rich friends like Jay-Z, Beyonce and other popular artists because it makes her relevant. You know who else they could collaborate with? Like how Gena said, Florence Welch. It wouldn't fit that well, or with any collaborations really because Coldplay doing that is just dumb, and any band like Weezer is just dumb for doing this. They should do more instrumentals. Princess of China started as an instrumental, lol. But I mean the lyrics and Chris' voice are what make the songs bad. I actually like this song more than ETIAW. But the beat is CRAP and it ruins the song. Uses a lot of the same formula of 90's pop music. I guess they were so traumatized because people thought they were boring. The violins are pretty nice, but it's repetitive which is something that they don't need to do, their capable of making a better chorus.
