Just finished Keeping Faith by Jodi Picoult. Not my favourite of her's, but still good. Now I am reading Never Let Go by Kazuo Ishiguro.

I've only had rum once, on a jazz band trip to Cuba. We all got pina coladas, and they were basically just rum. Waaay too sweet!

Awh I'm really sorry that it didn't work out. :hug: Is it too late for her to lie and say that she can't get a refund for the plane ticket? Because it wouldn't make sense to not go if she has to pay for it anyway. Maybe a little white lie would convince her dad to let her go?

Thanks for the replies everyone. :nice: It actually went pretty well. I was incredibly nervous all day, but somehow it wasn't as bad as usual once I got there and was sitting in my seat. I made a few little mistakes but everyone else had slip-ups too, so it wasn't so bad. :) But I am definitely glad that it's over!!

Thank you guys :nice: I'm still super nervous...my quartet is opening the recital and I'm not as nervous because there are 3 other people to cover up if you make a mistake. But I'm really worried about my duet, because if I mess up it will sound awful! And I don't know when we perform, so if it's near the end of the night I'll be panicking during about 30 other performances. :wreck:

So I have a piano recital tonight, and I have been panicking for the last 3 days because I get soooo unbelieveably nervous. My heart pounds, I shake uncontrollably, I have to pee every 10 minutes, my stomach gets upset, I feel sick, I feel like I'm going to pass out...basically every type of nerves, I get. Any tips for relaxing/not panicking?

Very sad news. I wasn't really a fan of hers, but I always found it sad that her life was just spiralling out of control. I have seen some people posting on facebook that "she deserved it"...it's absolutely disgusting what some people will say.

I saw the movie on Monday and it was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhh! It was just as perfect as I was hoping/expecting. I think it was definitely made for those of us who have read the books because I feel like it was so fast-paced, especially at the beginning, that if you didn't already know what was going on, it may have been slightly confusing. I don''t know.:shrug: I also wish they had spent a little more time on Fred and George before Fred died. :bigcry: But I am definitely going to see it again, because the "friends" I went with are total bitches and (to make a long story short) ruined the night for my sister, which made me sad for her and ruined it for me too. :furious:
