i can see the appeal, the man was a genius, but mine is the only ego i can tolerate unless i really respect the person AND the ego is the main reason behind their success. lennon could have done it all in a less pretentious and ****ish way. his humour was sometimes fitting but in general in retrospect he just seemed like a bit of an a-hole. plus the whole imagine thing lets him down, combined with yoko ono who just annoys me.

i saw them at leeds festival in 2007 (i think) on the main stage and they were amazing. had to flee once they had finished since razorlight were up next. half the razorlight fans turned up towards the end of the AC set and you could spot them a mile off. disgusting creatures. missed them in 2005 (i think) at the same festival but in a tent, since i hadn't heard of them yet and somebody else was on and it's one of my big regrets. that would have been awesome.

given the fact lennon has always annoyed me i don't think i could watch a film about him

my beard is looking ridiculous but i kinda wanna keep going till it reaches caveman standards. might grow my hair to jim morrison length too just to complete the look.

arcade fire have been pretty big since their first release, over here at least. i recently saw funeral winning album of the decade in a respected magazine
