  1. This is probably not the correct place to post this, but I wanted to avoid the Lounge. See, I write music. Good music. I have very high standards, and if I feel a song is bad I will not perform it. I figure there will be a lot of musical people here. I have ideas for two songs, one called "Amity Airfields" and the other called "Third Avenue". What do you think they should be about? Any suggestions would be welcome, especially Coldplay-esque ideas. Thanks!
  2. London Sky. That's just about the sky, though. It's actually a song name idea I came up with a few weeks ago.
  3. I envy Matt McGinn so much...to travel the world working as a roadie for the coolest band ever and doing so many awesome things. Anyone know if Coldplay is hiring for their next tour? :D
  4. A very unique story! Thank you for sharing!
  5. I don't care what anyone says. The cover art for the Strawberry Swing single promo CD is an epic win!
  6. Where is the Beehive, anyway? Is it like super-secret, on the down-low stuff? Anyone know? All I can get is North London. Just curious. Don't think I'm gonna do anything weird, though. I'd have to fly a few thousand miles. :laugh3:
  7. Thanks for the feedback!
  8. I'm gonna start a band, man! :hippy: What kind of music were or are your parents into?
  9. So we have a lot of seasoned Coldplay fans here. I'm pretty much a noob, having been a fan for a little over a month. :) Thanks for the stories everybody. Yeah that ad was pretty awesome. :guitarist:
  10. Now that I think about it, I completely agree with you.
  11. Wow, dude. I'm really jealous. :inquisitive: I really, really want to meet those guys. They seem like really cool people. Actually, one of my dreams is to become good friends with Coldplay. :cool4: Chris says the most awesome things. "I'm not a rockstar. I don't wear the right pants for that." I LOLed so hard when I saw that. Good for you, man! I hope it was a great experience!
  12. I like your site! I designed a website for my web design company. :D Check it out here and let me know what you think! http://mybluprince.com
  13. I'm curious. I prefer the hard copies: CDs and vinyl LPs. What about you?
  14. That's a great point. I agree with you.
  15. What? :inquisitive:
  16. Wrong choice of smiley on my part, you think? :laugh3:
  17. I know this thread is 5 years old, but I gotta comment and say that Switchfoot is one of the best bands ever. Not as good as Coldplay, but still an awesome band. I may very well know all of their music they've done since they went mainstream.

Dude, I may be a newbie, but IMO that is Chris on "Plan B". :shocked2:
  19. How did you start Coldplaying? Please, share your stories! Let me share mine: I was watching a best-of episode of the Antiques Roadshow (of all shows) late at night and the song Clocks was used for a few moments. I knew then that I had heard the piano progression before, and couldn't for the life of me find out what song it was. It was driving me crazy! A short while later I was listening to Pandora Radio (a Maroon 5 station I had created) and BOOM! Clocks played. I kept listening and eventually (on May 10, 2010) I became well acquainted with the song Viva la Vida, and I thought to myself, "I freaking need to get this album!" :wideeyed: Thankfully the local library had a copy of Viva, and the rest, they say, is history! Now I'm obsessed and addicted. So...how about you? P.S. If there's already a thread like this, feel free to merge or refer or whatever the heck you want to do. :D
  20. When you've only been Coldplaying for four weeks (since you first heard Coldplay) and you already know all the lyrics to 80% of their songs.
