I got pretty good seats for the Chicago show! Lower level, seventh row in the aisle by the floor. Should suffice for my first Coldplay show! :)

I was about 14 or 15, and Viva was playing endlessly on the radio. It was my favorite song, so I decided to look it up, and I discovered that it was part of an album from a band called "Coldplay". I recognized them as "that band that sung clocks" but I'd never listened to anything past that. So, I put the Viva album on my iPod, and the next day in study hall (when I was supposed to be doing my homework, mind you) I listened to the entire album, and vainly tried to hide my pitiful sobs during "Death and All His Friends". I've been hooked since then, I guess! :)

Does anybody else who lives in Chicago have/plan on getting a ticket? I've never met any fellow Coldplayers before (I'm a college kid, and it seems as though nobody my age really likes coldplay...) and I'm super excited to see some of you guys at the show! :)

Okay, since we're talking about our guilty pleasures, I've got one that's pretty bad....... anybody remember High School Musical? I.....kinda.....like....the.....music........... IM SORRY TO THE WORLD OF MUSIC FOR THIS ATROCITY, BUT AT LEAST I LIKE COLDPLAY TO MAKE UP FOR IT!!!!

LOL at schizophrenic Chris! Yeah, I'm not a big fan of that particular song, but I know that a lot of people have been requesting it for the MX tour, so I can't imagine them not playing it... :\

I'm pretty sure Coldplay play everything that they possibly can live. Anything that needs a strange instrument or something is probably playback (though Will totally plays that bell for Viva...). I dunno. I guess it depends on the song. Though, I think that if there's anybody that we can be absolutely certain is playing live, it's Mr. Champion. You can't fake the drums! :D

I understand your point, but I don't think we're saying that everyone in the world has to love them. We're just debating about why people have their various opinions, specifically the negative ones. Also I (along with many others I'm sure) consider myself a pretty big fan, but I don't think I let it interfere with my life to the point where I don't socialize with others. My friends have never told me that I "need a life" or anything like that. But I totally understand what you're saying, and it's good to remember that everything should be taken in moderation. :)
