Hey everyone! Decided to post something awesome that happened in the last few weeks. I finished a song with a friend of mine, who is on vocals and guitars. The song had been in the works for over a year but once he came in with his vocals it came together really quickly. Hey guys, so it's been a busy semester for me, and I haven't had time to keep up with this thread. I'll definitely continue being the moderator if we can get more people to come. The more the merrier! I've been wanting to try out this new version of the tournament with Pools. I'll call the first one and we can start Pool B now? When we have at least 15 votes we can call each pool.

Yeah unfortunately no participation :( I've also been pretty busy so far this year.

It's time to get this going again now that everyone has had a good holidays! I'll keep the voting on this up for another week and we can start the next round.

Guys I was just listening to Mylo Xyloto straight through and when it got to Up With the Birds, it played Birds instead hahaha. I thought it was a glitch or something, but it keeps playing it when I click on UWTB. Can anyone else confirm?

ELIMINATION GAME BRACKET #3: POOL PLAY Alright guys here is the group play for the next round. The top 3 in each group will make the bracket, and there will be two qualifying rounds (4 songs) because 3 x 22 groups is 66 which is 2 more than 64, the typical bracket size. Each person will post the order in which they like the songs (from 1 to 6, 6 being least liked song), then once that is done the top 3 songs (with the three least point totals) will win.

So DAAHF v Violet Hill was a contest for 3rd place because both had lost to Clocks and Fix You in the semis. Violet Hill took that one and is ranked 3rd in this bracket. Fix You won the finals against Clocks to win the bracket. Next bracket will be different to make things interesting and hopefully we'll have different finalists. I expect to see Clocks, Fix You, Violet Hill, The Scientist, etc. up there as usual. haha I was wondering if anybody actually figured out what my username meant! A long time ago when I was younger I loved to go to LAX to watch the planes there. I used to want to be a pilot so every account I had was plane themed. I still love planes and flying but I'm at college away from home so I can't go to the airport and don't have time even when I'm in the area.

I RSVP'd for the live stream event at the 20/20 club in New York City, but the e-mail I got says that I've been entered for a chance to win tickets and that I'd get an e-mail. It's Thursday evening and I still haven't gotten anything, so...I'm confused as to if I should go or not.

Wow Batman this is amazing! I wish I could do what you do. I have a friend who is also an illustrator and your style is very similar to his. I feel like he would like the stuff you're doing a lot!

ELIMINATION GAME BRACKET #2: FINALS Well it looks like our finalists are victorious! I have to say, it's been a while and I totally forgot to participate in this thread. We need more participants so it's a more spread opinion on Coldplay songs. And yeah it's 2 people then you can vote again, so I think it's time to give this one another go. Let the finals begin! This was totally unexpected. And that's not abnormal for Coldplay. From the snippet I got one vibe and after the drums came in the song totally changed. I'm still not sure what to think right now but I'm really enjoying the funky groove and the return of Guy's bass and Will's drums. The production on this one is good, but I feel like it follows a lot of the popular music nowadays. That's one thing I sort of expected it to be from Chris, but thankfully some of the music on the charts is pretty good so it didn't turn out as bad as it could have been. For each album I've always been hoping for them, especially Chris, to throwaway their position as a pop band and just give us an album that has no influence from popular music or production of the time. Viva did that and that's why it's such an iconic album in my opinion, because it created its own art-space. Their last three albums have felt like they are following the times rather than exploring ahead of it. I still think this album has enormous potential and will definitely be better than Ghost Stories. I guess I'm just going to have to put away my expectations that Coldplay will be anything other than pop, but I still get great pleasure from listening to new Coldplay. To summarize (:D), this song was left field, but not in the way I expected. Still an amazing song, production and energy wise, but totally not the vibe I was getting from the snippet and from what it seemed like they were going to put out. I can see this song staying on radio for a while and this album might be one of their better ones.
