  1. Dinnertime . . . be right back :escaping2:
  2. That seems to be Will's signature look, doesn't it?
  3. Personally, I think it would be very difficult for them to top Viva la Vida. It's my all-time favorite album (with ARoBttH a close second). I agree with you on the point that it was perfectly balanced: it had its synth / pop moments in Viva, Lovers In Japan, Yes, and Lost! but then it also had its soul in Strawberry Swing, DaAHF, Violet Hill, Prospekt's March, and NMFWTtG. It does seem that MX will veer more towards the pop-y sound rather than the soulful sound, but only time will tell on that aspect. I'll remain optimistic that MX will be as brilliant as every one of its predecessors, but I don't have my hopes set so high that I think it will eclipse Viva and ARoBttH.
  4. I think because para-para-paradise and wa-a-a-aterfall make up the entire chorus. Like . . . that's literally all there is, whereas with UAtW it's 'slo-o-o-o-o-o-ow it down'. There's a bit more meat there lyric-wise. The same with Fix You--it comes during Jonny's epic riff so it sort of fits. In fact, I think it would sound weird if they had cut the I-I-I-I-IIIII short
  5. ^ *gigglesnort* I saw this in the other thread
  6. ^ It just seems to end at the cuff, doesn't it? :P
  7. ^ lol, probably But one can hope :awesome:
  8. This just happened to me! I saw this at the top of the page and jumped a little :D
  9. Yeah, the live version is pretty good. I love how Chris and Will go back and forth on the 'para-para' bit (I like it better like this instead of thinking of it as a computer-generated echo)
  10. 1. Major Minus 2. Moving to Mars 3. Paradise 4. Hurts Like Heaven 5. Charlie Brown 6. Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall 7. Us Against The World
  11. Do we know of any Coldplayers that got into the listening party?
  12. Agreed. If they had gone in the direction of Moving to Mars / Christmas Lights . . . well, that would have been awesome. Not that the other new songs aren't good, but I prefer Coldplay's quiet-piano-building-to-an-epic-ending songs, a la Fix You, Amsterdam, Swallowed In The Sea, etc.
  13. I seem to be a part of the minority that likes the vocal effects  But I wish they would incorporate the echoes on the guitar--those sounded beastly. As for ETiaW, I think it needs to have some of the synths stripped away . . . maybe incorporate a piano at the beginning instead of the synth loop? If the album versions are different, that is
  14. D: Actually, I'm kind of glad they didn't play it last night--I'm trying to avoid listening to it as much as possible so it isn't spoiled on the album
  15. Nope, lol. That would be awesome though :P :awesome: EDIT: Coldception post, aww yeah
  16. I don't know . . . they didn't play it last night :bigcry:
