LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Do you have your signature feature turned off? I'm using Chrome also and I can see it  Can you see my signature? Maybe try getting rid of it and then putting it back? idk And to put this back on topic, I'm betting that Coldplay will at least try to avoid the mid-month cluster of big name artists releasing stuff. No sense competing when you don't have to. Unfortunately, I also think that means the album may be pushed back to early next year to ensure that they have a chance at nabbing that "best-selling album of the year" title. I could be wrong, though. All the rumored tour dates seem to point toward a release happening sooner rather than later, so

Please God let this be true. I would give up a lot of relatively important body parts to get another song as good as Yes

Dangit guys I did not come to this thread for feels :bigcry: I know what you all mean, though. I can remember all those years ago the moment I fell in love with Coldplay: the first time I heard "Clocks." My mom had it on a CD she played in her car, and I would basically make her play it on repeat all the way to our destination :P Eventually I asked her who it was by and I started looking for more songs by that band and oh my goodness, it was like I had stumbled into a perfect soundtrack for my life. I bought Clocks and Viva la Vida, then (strangely enough) How You See the World, then Yellow, Trouble, Fix You, Speed of Sound, and Talk. Eventually I went out and bought Viva and the Prospekt's March EP and those two became the only things I listened to for months at a time. Of course, that led to X&Y and ARoBttH and Parachutes and here I am today :D I can't help but wonder, though, if the first song by Coldplay that I had stumbled upon been ETiaW or Charlie Brown or ASFoS, would I have fallen in love like I did? Would I have loved the song so much that I would have spent my precious, limited computer time searching for and listening to their other songs? I don't think I would have . . . There's a magic to those songs off the first four albums that I have never been able to and will never be able to describe. It gets in my heart and soul and I'm 102% sure those first four albums have helped shape who I am today. And that's why, even if the rest of the music they make until the day they die is something that I don't like, I'm going to stick with them. I owe Coldplay so much for all that they've given me since the time I was 12 years old. I'm going to give them that chance no matter what because if I don't I may as well rip out my entire teenage existence.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
^ Exactly. We're all snapping at each other's throats over unimportant things. I know we're all antsy for some news, but I think we need to keep in mind that the band itself has not told us or indicated to us in any way that we should be expecting a release soon. All of our information has come from other Coldplayers, which is fine, but really that means that all this high-strung energy is really on us and we need to remember to be kind and understanding to one another. I'm just as excited for potential news as the rest of you, but the least we can do while we wait is try to be respectful of others. Have a nice day, everyone--it's almost the weekend! :nice:

Amazing Day
^ For me at least, "beautiful" and "perfect" are two very hard-hitting words. I don't describe things as beautiful or perfect seriously unless whatever it is I'm describing is truly extraordinary, but "amazing" is a word I use a lot and it doesn't convey the same sense of bliss and wonder as the first two. It's kind of lazy, usually one of the first words you think of when you're thinking of things similar to "good" (which is even worse). So for me it's a mixture of things

Amazing Day
^ What about just "Break" or "Time and Chaos" :D

Amazing Day
^I was going to make another list of titles with "Day" in them, but I got rid of it because "The World in a Day" was the only one I could think of
-
Amazing Day
^ That's my complaint with it too. "Amazing" is one of the laziest ways ever to describe a good day. I'm no crack shot at coming up with titles, but I came up with a few that seem like they could fit with the song without being too cheesy: Scars Stars and Scars (since Chris apparently still has that star obsession) Drifting (stealing this from lennyrott because I love it :P ) Weightless (because of the line "forget the world and its weight" idk) In Your Eyes (okay this one's kind of cheesy but it's still better than Amazing Day) The World in a Day . . . I don't know what the point of this post was, sorry, I just like thinking up titles *hides*

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I would say not to get our hopes up, as we've gone through almost this exact same scenario since, like July, BUT it is the first day of October tomorrow. I suppose that raises our chances a little :P

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I remember the Studiofeed! . . . and I also remember everyone being angry that we never got a second one

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Whoa, whoa WHOA just hold on one second there, we can't go making statements like that willy-nilly. People will riot :P That said, I hope it is as good as X&Y. I remember before MX came out that album got hated on constantly, but now everyone seems to love it (as they should because it's great). It seems like the forum keeps flip-flopping between thinking AHFoD will be Coldplay's worst album and thinking it's going to be on a similar level as the Big 4. It will be interesting to see how it all turns out!

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Well I'll just be cautiously optimistic about this. Gives me something to look forward to Friday, and if nothing happens . . . at least it's still Friday :awesome:

^ The entire How We Saw the World concert(s) are just so freaking perfect in every way :dazzled: My favorite versions of Clocks, SItS, IMP, What If, TKC, and The Scientist all came from that performance . . .

Amazing Day
^ Yes. That and just as the sun is coming up in the morning--especially if it's a bit foggy and the leaves are just turning and the air is nice and crisp and cool . . . apparently I have very specific tastes as to when Coldplay albums should be listened to :P

Amazing Day
Ghost Stories is a fantastic album to listen to while driving at night. I was driving on the highway late one night headed home from college. No light except from my headlights and the flickers of lightning from a storm ahead of me on the horizon. Oceans came on and it was one of the most perfect moments I ever experienced--the calming beat, the pink lightning flickers, the feeling that I was the only person in the whole wide world :wacky:

This is the most accurate thing I've ever heard in my life :bigcry: Moving to Mars and Ghost Story were the two best songs from their respective eras, and what do they get? B-side status :disappointed:

===The ultimate Oldplaying Thread===S, BS, TBR, P, AROBTTH, X&Y, VLV, PM===
Well, on MX I'm quite partial to Major Minus, DLIBYH, and UWtB. Hurts Like Heaven isn't half bad, but it's one of those songs where I have to been in a certain mood to appreciate it :P On GS: Midnight, Another's Arms (live version, anyway. Jonny's guitar is to die for), Oceans, Ghost Story, and All Your Friends. Others: Moving to Mars, Wish I Was Here (has one of the best lyrical phrases/allusions I've ever heard agh), and Gone But Not F. Cotton  Not a bad list, I suppose, it's just that for all those songs I actually like, most of the ones they're surrounded by on their albums I literally never listen to. EDIT: As for Amazing Day, it's alright. I keep flip-flopping between liking and disliking it. Right now I'm leaning more toward liking it so I'll just say it's very sweet and calming with a nice singalong at the end. It is a bit boring, though, and barring a few lines the lyrics aren't anything spectacular. Guy's bassline =

Amazing Day
:curtain: We cool again, Coldplayers? Okay good, so: When they first played Amazing Day, I was in the boat with the people who thought it was a GCF exclusive. Now that it's been several days and there's been no word mentioned from the band, I'm starting to think that isn't the case. The problem is, this song is clearly the opposite of what the guys have been telling us AHFoD will embody and sound like, which makes me think it perhaps won't be an LP7 song. Does that mean it's an old GS song? If so, why decide to play it at a random festival a year after your GS tour has ended? Chris introduced it as a new song, and I feel if it was from the GS era he would have introduced it as an old song (like he did with Yellow in saying it was written in 1955 :P ) I'm just kind of rambling trying to figure this out . . . any other thoughts as to where Amazing Day came from?
