That's interesting theory . . . I hadn't thought of it like that before--I always just assumed that they gave the vocals that icy edge to carry across the sense of paranoia that's present in the song. I like it, though! :D

This. This song reminds me why I listen to Coldplay. I give it a solid 8.5 10 is reserved for absolute perfection ---> A Rush Of Blood To The Head (Live 2003) and Politik (Live 2003) 9 ---> Songs like Clocks, Major Minus (live), Violet Hill, etc.

I was very skeptical when I first heard it, but now I think the distorted vocals really fit the paranoid-context very well, and GUY'S BASS LINES!! :heart: :dead: I think this is one of those songs that you have to listen to a couple of times to really appreciate

I'm loving the drumstick taps during the 'hear the crocodiles ticking...' part. It's a nice subtle touch on Will's part :dance:

^ I'm with you. I can't make up my mind if I hear Jonny or not . . . If you listen to the Live 2003 version of Politik, you can hear Jonny singing backup in a couple of parts (he sounds really creepy, but in a good way) and there's a few parts in Major Minus that remind me strongly of that. . . . We should ask the Oracle!
