  1. When you go crazy if Coldplay is mentioned one time in a movie or a book (you will immediately love said movie or book :P ) Mentioned in a good way, that is
  2. ^ That's pretty much how I interpreted ETiaW also. It's a very hopeful, uplifting song :)
  3. When you are introduced at a party and the people look at you and say "Oh, you're the one who likes Coldplay!"
  4. ^ This. A Rush Of Blood To The Head is undoubtedly one of their best songs, but the lyrics aren't all that complex. Fix You is another good example. The beauty of that song isn't its lyrics, but the raw emotion and straightforward message it brings.
  5. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Why not, eh?
  6. ^ as;djghaskiufbsdjbo Well done, sir, you just explained in one word what I couldn't in a whole paragraph! :awesome:
  7. No problem! I'm really looking forward to this one also, it's such a unique turn of phrase
  8. Hrmm . . . I think what Chris is trying to say is that this girl may use her heart to break his (by telling him she doesn't love him anymore) but he still continues to love her despite what she's done. It hurts, but he relishes it because he knows that for all the pain she caused him, he's still going to love her. i.e. --> love hurts, but it's still worth having EDIT: hope this makes sense
  9. I don't think they'll be sticking with that particular formula for any song past ETiaW. Teardrop, I think, is just a fun festival song that the guys released as something to get the crowd going since they weren't planning on playing any new material. I'm actually glad they released it when they did, because then if they hadn't spontaneously decided to play MM, HLH, etc. then they would still be bringing something new to the table.
  10. ^ :awesome: I particularly like that picture with the bridge. It's purdy.
  11. ^ That was a song title that was written on a whiteboard during the 60 Minutes interview back in 2008/9 We also got Wedding Bells, Christmas Lights, Cartoon Heart, and a bunch of other possible titles
  12. I'm tempted :wink3:
  13. ^ That's the problem right there :P I want to hear the studio versions, yet I want to be completely surprised when LP5 drops The guys should just release an EP with all these songs, then the album a few weeks later with all new ones and be done with it! They get more publicity > Coldplay fanbase grows > EMI gets more money > Fans are happy Win-win situation! :awesome: :deal2:
  14. Fair enough, but they changed the ending to make it more susceptible to live audiences. I think part of the charm of Prospekt's March is that it's so quiet and subdued--adding a loud electric guitar and massive drumbeat would ruin it :\
  15. I really hope they don't announce it on my birthday--it's much too far away! :uhoh:
  16. Oops, dp Well, if you're planning on giving half the sums to Coldplay's favorite charity then I would write a letter to the guys asking which charity that would be and how you might go about selling it. I'm sure they would be willing to help--if they aren't too swamped with duties concerning LP5, that is.
  17. Whoa. I bet a lot of people would pay quite a pretty penny for that (me included). :stunned: But if I were you, I would keep it.
  18. That would be awesome but I don't really think it's a 'live performance' type of song.
  19. C'mon Will! Give us something to hold your fans over for a while!
  20. I'd like that too, but we've already heard Major Minus, Charlie Brown, etc. all of which are good enough to be on LP5--at least as b-sides or hidden tracks if nothing else. But maybe the guys will surprise us
  21. Heck yeah, it is!
  22. Oooh! I absolutely love that part--it gives me the chills every time. Something about his voice sounds kinda menacing and then Guy gives it the quiet bass undertone . . . :wideeyed:
