Hmm . . . I'm not too sure about the 'intimate' nature of LP5 that we're supposed to be getting, but the White Rose Movement theme seems to be taking shape nicely. Also, none of the songs seem to be too completely different from what we've heard before--so the 'concept album' remains to be addressed also. To me, the songs sound like a mixing of the Coldplay albums: UAtW from the Parachutes era, Major Minus from A Rush Of Blood, etc. We'll see, hopefully we get some more news soon.

The only songs they'll even think about listening to are Viva and ETiaW--they think the rest are a bit weird and slow :laugh4: But then again they listen to country music so I don't really trust their music opinions :P

That's true. :thinking: I'm not sure how many they played exactly, but it was several. I'm thinking around 6-8? Of course, that would mean that they would have to play Princess of China :wink3:

You know you're addicted to Coldplay when you check coldplay.com for updates at least 15 times a day--and you make it your homepage so you don't forget (and then you refresh it 3 times each time you visit to make sure they haven't posted anything)

I thought it was too :awesome: I almost squeee'd but then I read the rest of the title and was horribly disappointed.

Now that you say that, I'm reminded of the lyrics to EtiaW "You can hurt, hurt me bad/but I'll still raise the flag" Maybe, like EtiaW, Hurts Like Heaven is a protest song of sorts. He's being beaten into the dirt, but what he believes in is finally being recognized. With Hurts Like Heaven, maybe the only way he is going to get noticed by this girl is in a negative way. She may spite him and turn her nose up, but he's still being noticed, and that makes the pain wonderful. I have no idea where I come up with these crazy theories :confused:
