  1. I recall again this topic. Maybe you have asked yourself: where is the "colour song" that every Coldplay album seems to have? Every Coldplay album has a song with a colour in its title, but Ghost Stories hasn't. Or maybe it has but it is "hidden"? I mean, I think that all the Ghost Stories theme is dedicated to one colour. And that colour is blue. My theory is that everything under Ghost Stories is linked to this colour. It is known that blue is a colour related to sadness, and GS is a breakup album. It is like Picasso's blue period, where lots of pictures were painted with those serious blue tones. The cover itself is all blue, with the sky and the sea, things that represent that colour. And furthermore, the picture also is in a moment of the day that represents the blue (Midnight). And sometimes we have speculated about the possibility of Midnight being the "colour song", so at least it would be something to consider. And to end up, they also have been wearing lots of blue clothes during the GS era. So there is no doubt, GS is "into the blue"! :gs:
  2. XOXO & Y
  3. I hope Gregg Alexander produce them at some time.
  4. Back to the topic of the music style, I've been listening to New Radicals again and I wouldn't mind at all if they make pop music, but that kind of pop. Do you know them? God, that's classy pop.
  5. I still think that "A Head Full of Fears Has No Space for Dreams" would be a proper name to LP7. It has light but also darkness in itself, and reminds to "Viva La Vida and Death and All Of His Friends". It has that vibe. Pd: Chinese Sleep Chant is pure gold.
  6. ^ Okay, my mind tricked on me and I read that the title of the thread was a mix of LP7 title and your username "A Head Full of Cake". That would be yummy.
  7. "Estás como una regadera". Not you, I'm just answering to your question. :laugh3:
  8. In Spain there is an expression that in english would be translated like "To be like a watering can", which means "To be crazy". :D
  9. The first one could be the real album cover. It's absolutely amazing. It looks similar to AROBTTH but with more colour in it, like its brighter side. I imagine AHFOD cover to be like that, or very similar to that, like a head explosion in some way. I really hope it is something close to that. I would like to see that happening.
  10. I think we should really start looking for some clues, like when the ghost drawn on the Atlas lyrics. Then nobody knew what was that, but we had the greatest clue of the LP6 theme just in front of our eyes. But well, I think that now could be even more difficult... 0k, we know LP7 will be called A Head Full of Dreams, but I think there are no more clues, not even in Miracles.
  11. I think I prefer the old one, but let's see if I get used to this one!
  12. ^ I would add Interpol, Editors and The National to your list of good inspirations.
  13. Happy new year you all everybody! Let our heads be full of dreams!
  14. ^ Yeah, the oracle denied it, but I still think those ones are colour names. Yes, even Midnight. Come on, if we think about it... Yellow, Green Eyes, White Shadows, Violet Hill, Charlie Brown, Midnight (Blue?)... It seems like everything is made on purpose. Someday I would like to see black, grey or red (or some variation of one of these colours)
  15. Am I crazy or I can also hear Jonny's solo in this remix? Slowed down, but there is. Anyways I prefer the original version.
  16. (I don't know if it has been posted. These are news from one week ago, but I forgot to post it then and just remembered it now. Sorry if it has been already posted.) "One time I sent [bowie] a song to ask him to sing on it. He called me and said, 'It's not one of your best,'" Martin admits During David Bowie's long hiatus prior to releasing The Next Day, the singer would sporadically reappear to contribute background vocals for artists like Arcade Fire ("Reflektor"), TV on the Radio and Scarlett Johansson. However, when Chris Martin attempted to recruit Bowie to contribute vocals to a song Coldplay was working on, Bowie rejected the collaboration because the track wasn't good enough. Martin made the revelation at the inaugural BBC Music Awards on December 11th during a video tribute to Bowie, a nominee for the British Artist of the Year award. "One time I sent him a song to ask him to sing on it. He called me and said, 'It's not one of your best,'" Martin admitted (via NME). "He's got very high standards and I appreciate that. It inspires the rest of us to keep our standards high." Martin didn't elaborate which Coldplay song Bowie had turned down. Despite being rejected by Bowie, Martin had nothing but praise for The Next Day. "When 'Where Are We Now?' came out I was staggered, and also annoyed," Martin said at the BBC Music Awards. "Like, 'Come on, it's not fair.' He's already got all these amazing songs and then this instant classic." If Coldplay hopes to get Bowie to join them in the studio, they better write something that meets his high standards, and fast: Martin previously hinted that the band's in-the-works next LP, tentatively titled A Head Full of Dreams, could be their "final" album. "It's our seventh thing, and the way we look at it, it's like the last Harry Potter book or something like that," Martin said. "I have to think of it as the final thing we're doing. Otherwise we wouldn't put everything into it." Source: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/chris-martin-david-bowie-rejected-coldplay-collaboration-20141214 Which song do you think it could be? An old song or maybe a new one considered for "A Head Full of Dreams"?
  17. ^ I also thought of this when I first saw this post. I forgot to say it. And of course, we will probably see a song with a colour in the title too.
  18. Lately I've been listening to some of their old stuff. I hope someday they will make music as good as they used to make when they started playing. I don't mean they have turned bad now, but I prefer the old stuff. I also hope they release new album soon. Unfortunately, I think Brandon Flowers is planning to release his second solo album next year (which is not bad)
  19. I'm starving to hear the Chinese Sleep Chant/Major Minus/Ghost Story of AHFOD. Although they have turned a little bit poppier, there has always been a song like those ones.
  20. Could you please make an interpretation of your mental album cover of this, using the AROBTTH cover and how you imagine AHFOD cover would be? :laugh3:
  21. A Rush of Blood to the Head Full of Dreams.
  22. There are lots of reasons. I need miracles.
  23. I also agree with the U2 bit. I like it. But anyways, this is too soft yet. I want something with more aggressiveness.
