I haven't been here long enough for the site to have had any real impact on me :/ But since joining I've been enjoying Coldplay more. I don't remember why I joined, I only really started to become a fan this year. I guess I was really in a big Coldplay mood when I joined, and joining has made me remain a Coldplay fan thus far, being around other fans and such. Also, I'd be a bit bored at times like these when I can't get any sleep. So, I wouldn't be as much of a Coldplay fan and I'd be bored. Those are two things that would be different if I hadn't have joined this place.

I couldn't find a thread on this, shockingly! I can't believe what I've just spotted, look in the centre! What appears to be an alien-shaped head and face is there! With big eyes and it looks kinda like it has a balloon string underneath it! Can anyone else spot it!?

It won't leak until like a week before I think. Having said that, the latest Kanye West/Jay-Z album did not leak at all and the new Red Hot Chili Peppers is a few days until release and it hasn't leaked yet. Maybe record labels have found a way around it for some of their bigger releases?

And if anyone gets into a similar situation, I hope they manage to pull through sooner than I did :)

Some of those aren't actually real genre names, but I get where you're coming from. The Rolling Stones are very boring IMO, apart from a few songs (You Can't Always Get What You Want, Paint It Black, etc are classics of course) Queen. I don't think I respect them either come to think of it, despite them influencing a lot of bands I like. The Clash are boring as well to me, but again, they have my respect. There are probably others...

Must be lyrics of some sort. I noticed the sentences scattered across the front cover too. Maybe lyrics for different songs?

Yes Have you ever watched an entire film series in one sitting? (for instance, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Kill Bill films and so on)

They were like the UK's answer to grunge with Pablo Honey to an extent and Creep was a hit. The Bends got a lot of airplay and had some radio friendly singles, so that's why they're big commercially I think. OK Computer got airplay because it was hyped a lot then the reviews came along and well, people bought it. The same goes for Kid A, but to a more extreme extent. I think their first two albums established them as a mainstream band, but thanks to the fact that their albums after that got such immense praise and hype, they continued to sell well. Making an album as daring as OK Computer, let alone Kid A, would kill many bands commercially.

They'll rate it depending on how creative/original/experimental it is, rather than based on quality, as usual. Hence the higher rating for VLV compared to their other albums. Pitchfork are shite anyway.

YES Okay so I posted a thread a while back called 'I STILL LOVE HER' (I bumped it and it should be on the same page as this thread actually), about how I used to really like this girl and we stopped talking, I got depressed about it because I missed her and so on, if you wanna know the story then check it out. But in the month I stopped posting on here I ended up going out more, I got things sorted, I met some new people and things are finally looking great :D I know it may seem dumb, but I'm really happy and I thought it'd make a change considering my previous thread. Plus it's good to share happiness :3 I'd like to hear from other people who have been through this, since I imagine there'd be a lot of other people who have been through this, it's a common experience I'd imagine. :)

I'm sure they'll have some surprises on the next tour ;)

I'll be happy to see New Born be dropped, despite it being one of my favourites. I saw it the first time I saw them and it just didn't stand out as much as it seemed to on older concerts I'd seen and heard footage from. If they don't play it well anymore, they should drop it IMO

What? They had a big hit only two months ago and all of their albums have sold about 10million+ copies so far. How are they not relevant anymore? Maybe the fact they haven't made an album since VLV could be the reason why they haven't had an album as big as it since?

Whoa, the other Muse thread got so big they had to make another one? :laugh3: I haven't posted here in a while... Love the fact they've finally given Feeling Good a rest and started to play Citizen Erased as a concert regular! :)

It hasn't leaked yet as far as I know. Can't wait, my all-time favourite band finally making a comeback. :D
