She'll be in Chicago four days before my birthday! And... well, in Texas ON my birthday. :P Definitely skipping class on friday to drive out to see her.

I don't even care about what's on or not on the album at this point. I mean, there's a pretty good chance that PoC will be included, but whatever doesn't will leak, make its way onto an EP, back a single or two...

I haven't seen Metric live, I presume they're really good. But I'm going to make the assumption that you haven't seen any of the TFG material live (The Passenger -> The Last Song Ever Written, oh my GOD) or The Comeback performed live. :) I still can't really compare them, they're so different. Stars is a non-conventional pop band that thrives off of its lyrics while Metric has Emily Haines and that sort of punk twinge to their pop style. I would KILL to see these bands touring together, and it might become a reality given their current schedules; both bands plan to release in 2012.

It's clearly not true. The band doesn't have time to catalog each and every single song... you'd be a fool to think much of this. They're just trying to piece together what they have at this point, that's what matters. Not sending a list of bullshit to EMI, some public archive, or what have you. It's nonsense!

I'm not a huge fan of the Detroit techno scene, it's definitely not my thing and I'm not gonna rant about it here. But Royal Oak has a nice music scene, too. I love the music theater there, it's wonderful. :heart: I see Broken Social Scene in Ann Arbor, Stars in Detroit (Pontiac sometimes, depending on if it's one of Torq's solo projects), Arcade Fire skips Motown after ironically going on about how they love our musical legacy..., I have yet to see Metric and I'd probably see them in Detroit, and I'd probably see Do Make Say Think in Royal Oak. And Crystal Castles there too. :awesome:

Are you kidding me? They haven't been to Detroit since The Bends in 1995. :\ Best bet is Chicago. And to answer your question, I would be traveling from the Detroit area.

I wouldn't say it's the BEST... but it'll be one that they're remembered for.
