  1. lol, this is a like a non sexual version of foreplay, LOL
  2. it's fine, no worries there :) ur welcome :) well, when it comes to the song writing process for an album, the band and the producers go hand in hand in composing a song, it doesnt have to be chris martin and the band all the time. the point of having a producer is to HELP the band in making songs and here, jon hopkins offered his song, amphora, as the base for midnight. come to think of it, what the band does is much better than what rihanna or other pop girls chrun out. they have their ghost songwriters and theyre just there to sing and perform. at least Coldplay gets to decide what song they want to make :) just my two cents :)
  3. jon hopkins is the PRODUCER of MIDNIGHT. so yeah, there is no rip off/rehash here. it was his decision to create a new song based on his work, amphora. so basically jon hopkins has a lot of credit here since he is one of the PRODUCERS of ghost stories.
  4. well first of all, jon hopkins is the PRODUCER of the song so yeah, he is credited here. and second of all, it was his decision to base midnight from his track amphora. so add amphora and coldplay's compositions on it, its a totally different track.

who would've thought this song would dominate the itunes charts :D
  6. it's fine lol :D i think wikipedia had an error with that figure, the official figures for MX are between 6-8 million while Viva la vida are 10 million to 13 million :D
  7. as far as official numbers are concerned, MX has sold 8 million. :)
  8. you are right, but Viva la vida the album was the biggest selling album worldwide in 2008 and is the 2nd best selling album in the US in 2008. it has sold 10 million worldwide so far :) so its still one of the biggest selling albums during the past few years :D

  14. ihaveabono replied to thetelephoneline's topic in Magic
yeah, i think its more appropriate to say it is mixed to positive, or even "mostly positive". a 3 or a 3.5 out of 5 review is positive IMO :)
  15. ihaveabono replied to thetelephoneline's topic in Magic
has anyone read the wikipedia article about MAGIC? it says "MIXED REVIEWS FROM MUSIC CRITICS". But if you continue to read the summary of the critic's reviews, most of the reviews were positive. THE WIKIPEDIA IS HIGHLY INACCURATE. Does anyone have an account on wikipedia? maybe that entry can be edited. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_%28Coldplay_song%29
